Just to set the stage. We have a dedicated theatre room, and have had a 4k Projector for a while. Since around 2019, that's when we made the 4k upgrade. At the time we chose one of the top-of-the line 4k lamp projectors. It's worked out fairly well. At the time, it was considered 'bright', by bright I mean roughly 1800 lumens. What this really meant was that a DARK room is required for best results. That's OK, we have that, we have a dedicated theater room, with curtains and can darken the room. For movie nights, it was fine. Fast forward to 2025 and I want to use that room for more than just 'movies'. Nobody wants to watch TV in the dark all the time and the projector just simply wasn't useful with the lights on. It was a struggle to watch. So I wanted a daylight viewable projector, and also one with LOW LATENCY so I could game in there if need be. The problem, though was that all these laser projectors that met my needs were north of $3k and I wasn't ready to do that. This projector is absolutely amazing. Marketing says it's 4100 Lumens so more than double the previous projector. While I haven't measured it. I did spend some time with another projector claiming 3800 Lumens and they were very similar. But I stuck with the XGIMI. Why? For the following reaons. 1) Super easy to mount. Hard to tell from the docs, but there is a standard 1/4-20 screw hole on the bottom and that's all you need. 2) It's portable. While mine is mounted currently, I could unmount it in about 2 minutes and take it with me. 3) It's not just a projector. It's also a SmartTV (GoogleTV to be exact). While our media room has an AppleTV, all of that is piped through a 4k / Dolby Capable reciever for the surround sound. So unless I'm using the Google TV, I'm driving it through for the reciever for the surround sound. Having said all of that, the sound from the unit itself, in our room is pretty fantastic. 4) Quick startup time, the other projector had significant delays starting up and shutting down. 5) Color and brightness are out of this world. While some folks complain of 'rainbow effects' from laser projectors, I don't see any of that so I'm super happy. But I also have a pro-level screen it's being projected against. So for me it's just 120 inches of awesomeness. It literally draws 1/3rd the power of the previous bulb projector. So what are the cons? 1) The form factor is a bit odd, but I'll take it. 2) The fact that it has an integrated GoogleTV OS. Google could just decide one day to brick it or get out of the TV business and you're hosed. That's a very real possibility. But for now I'll take the flexibility and roll the dice. I expect even better projectors in the next 3-5 years. FANTASTIC VALUE. If you can pick this up for $2k or less don't hessitate. It will change your projector world.

The projector was not able to focus any time. Super sad that something so expensive was so hard to adjust or at list didn’t work. I was very excited about it but I would put some second thoughts before buying because it didn’t had any support tools or tutorials to adjust this issue. I requested my refund because it never worked any “auto repair or adjustment” So sad… XGIMi please contact to see your product service if you want to redeem your self. I requested a product return.

It's everything I thought it would be, and more. The only thing I miss is having the ability to manually adjust screen size with hardly any effort. This is possible, but requires disabling auto focus, something I wouldn't want to do. Picture brightness and clarity are as good as any 4k tv. Still not good enough for full daylight viewing, but that's not what I bought it for.

UPDATE — July 2026: The June firmware arrived as promised. The Bluetooth discoverability toggle works, the pairing popups are gone, and the projector is back in use. Fairness cuts both ways — XGIMI said June, and they delivered. I’m leaving the original review below. If you’re buying today, enable the Bluetooth discoverability toggle in Settings immediately — especially if you live in an apartment or anywhere a neighbour’s device might be nearby. The picture has always been exceptional. The software is now where it should have been at launch. Original Review: The picture quality is genuinely excellent — bright, sharp, great color from the triple laser. I want to be upfront about that. But there is a software defect that has made this projector unusable in my home, and XGIMI support has now confirmed in writing that it is a known issue with no current fix. The problem: any nearby Bluetooth device that is advertising for pairing (in my case, a device named "G760X") triggers a full-screen pairing prompt on the projector. It happens three to four times per minute. You cannot watch a movie through it. Accepting the prompt does nothing — the device never appears in the paired list, so there is no way to "forget" it. And there is no setting anywhere in the projector to make it non-discoverable, block a specific device, or suppress these prompts. I contacted XGIMI support with a detailed description. Their response, verbatim: their R&D team confirmed there is no immediate solution, and a "Bluetooth Discoverability" toggle is planned for a firmware update scheduled for June 2026. In other words, XGIMI is acknowledging that a $2,000 flagship projector shipped without a basic Bluetooth privacy setting that every smartphone, laptop, and tablet has had for well over a decade. If you live in an apartment, condo, townhouse, or anywhere a neighbor's Bluetooth device might be within ~30 feet, you should know this before you buy. My projector is currently sitting unused, and I have no guarantee the June firmware will actually arrive on schedule or fully solve the issue. Picture quality: excellent. Software and QA: not what you should expect at this price point. Buy with caution.
