  • This is why I got it!
Style: Horizon 20
The media could not be loaded. My first impression when I open the box. This device is kind of premium. When I turned it on , i went right away to fiddle with the options and how amazed i was . 1. The lens shift blew my mind as I have not thought of this. I thought it was digital until I heard the mechanical sound of something shifting. 2.its bright!! Still a bit washed out with lights on but very forgiving and I can still tell what's going on. But once I hit up youtube, it showed me visuals I didn't know existed and expected. HDR10+ auto turned on for hdr videos, dolby vision and HLG which i didn't know was a thing! And the size is huge! Im trying to find ways to increase it more by adding distance but I'm still satisfy by reaching 128". 3. The sound!! Let's get real, there are better sounds out there if its dedicated but these sound speaker are no pushover either, but they sound great and clear. The sound quality is a bit step under the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 9 Bluetooth Speaker quality but still impressive. 4.it comes with a case! Not the best secured case but it does its job if you handle it normally during short travel . Very plug and play and portable. It connects to bluetooth with no issues but I'm still having trouble understanding how to cast my phone with it. It doesnt have a generic cast app so you must download one yourself. And if it does, then i guess i simply dont know how to get to it or understand how it works. To be honest? 9 didn't give much effort to find it but I'm sure it can't be that difficult. ... show more

  • Very impressive
Style: Horizon 20
For 6 years i have had several cheap 1080p projectors claiming 2000-3000 ansi lumens and good contrast. I had no idea what i was missing out on. Picture is fantastic very sharp with good contrast. I use this as my main tv in my living room on 130 inch fixed frame white 1.2 gain screen and its plenty bright to watch sports or regular TV with some ambient light. Day time I close my curtains and its not even close to dark in the room and 50 to 70% brightness is totally fine. Alot of content is darker now days as far as movies go so dark scenes will be much better viewed at night or it may get washed out that goes with any projector. Im glad I didnt spring for the pro or max as the main difference is the brightness and this has plenty. Power usage and fan noise is also much lower than any of my previous projectors. Many custom settings as far as color space gama and temperature. Just do a little bit of reasurch ad you can get very accurate colors it is very capable. Vision master pro 2 is probably marginally better from many of the reviews and tests I have seen but its so close and it costs 1k more the base model is a no brainer if your on a budget. ... show more

  • I'm blown away
Style: Horizon 20
This projector is fantastic. I was a little skeptical about buying a home projector, every one I've seen is pretty dim but this one is super bright(so bright actually turned down the brightness). My living room isn't very bright but during the day I can actually see the screen very well it's obviously a little washed out but still watchable. I have it on a pull down 120in screen and quality is amazing I have tons of 4k blu rays some hdr some not but man after a while I forgot I'm in my home and not at a theater. I have a surround sound system but honestly the inbuilt speaker is decent. The lens shift features is great for distortion free adjustment. But be warned it doesn't shift left to right very much most of the adjustment is up and down which does go quite far. I have my projector near the ceiling and my default the center of the image is probably at the top of the screen and I'm able to adjust it down without keystoneing it. I can't say anything on the "smart" features as I choose not to connect this device to the internet. I just have a pc and a blu ray player plugged into it. If you chose not to connect to the internet it's the closest thing Ive seen to a dumb TV interface I've seen in years ... show more

  • Crisp off center keystoned picture, fantastic in ambient light.
Style: Horizon 20
Such a massive improvement over our previous home theatre projector 💯 The auto-keystone was failing a lot, but once I got it lined up it was amazing to watch it work. The alignment I could get with the off center placement of my old projector seemed fine. But now that I've seen good good it can get there's no comparison! It's never been so tightly aligned with the screen or do crisp at the edges. I'm so impressed! My wife loves how her video games look on it! Colors and lighting are so much more crisp and intuitive, switching settings from one into device to another to totally nail the settings every time. I have the screen in front of a window so the ambient light was a mess with my old projector. This one totally removed that issue from our notice. Love it! Truly happy with my purchase! ... show more

  • hype
Style: Horizon 20
RBE (rainbow effect) is very bad for fast moving scenes/objects. forget gaming, its rainbow streaks allll over (non of the reviewers show this, btw). Speckle is another issue. The lack of usb-c and ethernet are a wild oversight. The audio is out of sync at times (maybe just a bad unit?) The brightness is ok, the contrast is just ok. I will probably go back to Epson after being pretty disappointed with this. I had a lamp-based unit before and never had an issue, just bought into the wild hype with these new Chinese units flooding the market. I do like the remote and the UI is integrated with google and is snappy enough for now. Some apps don't work properly (kanopy) Unfortunately, we live in an era where you cannot try these in store before you buy, so order it from a place with a good return policy- you will need it. ... show more
