The completed result is quite satisfactory. Installing it was more challenging than the instructions implied. The fit of the split fork lower end of the metal bracket is not perfect, and required a lot of elbow grease and patience to seat, center and fasten. A rubber mallet was just right to nudge it into place. Then, getting the velcro flaps to complete their fit and get flattened was not easy, either. But, eventually it all worked out.

Forget what people are saying about the bags won't go on they just don't know how to follow instructions. It's very clear that you're supposed to put them on the rollbar itself and not on the cover if you try to put them over the cover you will struggle to get them on you simply tuck them in on the bottom and pull the cover over the bottom of it when you've got them snugged up. I was able to torque the nuts and they are stiff and are not moving, not one iota. Restrap the Velcro straps around the bags and retighten them as tight as you can before you put them on. It'll make everything really solid after it's installed.

I like the product as it fills a void that is unused. I have my recovery gear in it. Per the tag and part number, got the feeling I have the JL bags for my JK. As others have mentioned the mounting bracket is weird. This is what brings the ratting down. It’s not big enough or designed properly for the roll bar. I had trouble getting the yoke and bracket to bolt together. Also the brackets are a bit bent and rub on the roof causing more difficulty to install the bag after the bracket per the instructions. Otherwise it’s a good product and I like it. Now if they would make one for over the wheel well...

These fill that dead space in the back like (literally) nothing else on the market, and I'm glad I got them - but they are definitely smaller inside than I'd expected. The material is very heavy duty, looks good and feels reasonably waterproof. Installation was mostly a cakewalk, but the "yoke" that goes around the roll-bar and bolts to the bag frame is coated in thick rubbery plastic. Bad idea. Should have powder coated it or just anodized it or something, that plastic layer gets ripped to shreds while tightening the bolts, and makes it a major chore just to get the nuts on the bolts in the first place. They could have added a small silicone gasket to protect the roll bar if that were the intention. Despite the much lower capacity than I expected (for the money...these aren't cheap), they're great bags and very useful.

I really wanted to give this a 5 star review, but couldn’t. Shipping was amazingly fast! Product is constructed very well bigger inside then i thought and I will get allot usage out of them. Installation was horrible. The frame is covered in so much rubber you need to trim it to install it. Then there is no room to velcro the top of the bag to the frame.

If you just want a saggy bag to put some recovery gear in then you don't really need these. Chances are you have a similar ones in your shopping cart that mount in front of the roll bar. But these are well made and I'm pretty sure it won't frustrate by falling apart. They have great small pocket and medium bulk storage. Good for things you want access to without digging too much into the various other crevices you've jammed stuff into. Like tire deflators, first aid kit, tire plugs, soft shackles or whatever else. Not completely terrible looking without a top either. SWAG hilift mount made it so the stock bolts weren't long enough for the top of the mounts. But that's no fault of this product.

I bought this for my husbands birthday and he loved it. The build quality is great and they seem really durable, however, the bracket for the Wrangler JKU does not fit properly so we had to return it. My husbands jeep has a Rhino Rack roof rack that attached inside the jeep at the same point as the Gama Bag bracket and the OEM bolt is not long enough to attach both. Easy enough to get a longer bolt, however, when he went to mount the bracket at the bottom, the bracket is not wide enough to fit around the sports bar making it impossible to attach the clamp onto the bracket. He was disappointed as he was looking forward to having additional storage in the back of the jeep for tools. Make a better bracket and include a longer bolt and this thing is five stars.
