Description

The Fun Forever Set is part of the Galvanized Steel Frame Line up from XDP Recreation. Galvanized is a Protective layer of Zinc on the Steel Tube that requires no maintenance, is rust free for many years. The Fun Forever - Metal Swing Set is a 6 station, 6 leg frame swing set that accommodates up to 8 kids. It includes 2ea-Swings, 1ea-Stand-R-Swing, 1ea-Super Disc Swing, 1ea- See-Saw, and 1ea-6' long 3pc Wave Slide. Also included are Foam Frame Leg Pads for Safety. The frame legs are 2” diameter x 20-gauge wall thickness, top bar is 2” diameter x 20-gauge thickness. Safe-Touch PVC Chain Covers on the Blow Molded Swing Seats for no pinch. Each Swing seat accommodates one rider, the See-Saw two riders, the Super Disc Swing seats two riders and the Stand-R- Swing allows one rider to sit and swing or stand and swing. The Wave Slide has handrails and a ‘safe landing’ for safe-stop entrance to ground. One user at a time is recommended on the Wave Slide. Galvanized Gray Frame Color, Blue seats, a Blue Surf N Swing, a Blue Super Disc, a Blue Wave Slide and blue foam frame leg padding. Up to 8 Kids can play on the Fun Forever - Swing Set at once with a 100lbs per seat/play maximum. XDP's Galvanized steel frames have welded (no bolts) corner brackets for superior stability and ease of assembly. All seats, riders and handles are made of a durable blow molded polyethylene (HDPE) material. The 3-piece Wave Slides are HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) blow molded. The blow molded components provide additional quality, value and performance to the XDP Recreation products. Ease of assembly and safe assembly are important. All XDP Recreation swing sets are ASTM and CPSIA Compliant.

It has held up well for my grandchildren. I would recommend installing it with a slight upward camber in the center to overcome bowing down over the span. While you are assembling it you will notice the center legs seem to be a little longer to accomplish setting the camber.

packaged nicely, all parts labeled and the hardware was nicely labeled and sealed. Assembly directions were very clear and easy to follow. I did misread the description and thought the set included the supplies for securing it to the ground, but they were not included. Like many, we were desperate to buy something our kids could enjoy during the pandemic. We settled on this play set because the reviews were decent and the price was right. As usual, you get what you pay for. After owning it for about two months, several of the bolts have bent to the point of replacement, the attached slide has allowed the bolt and/or the hit to pass through the plastic, many of the plastic caps that are meant to cover the bolts are broke or won’t snap shut (even the ones on top that my kids can’t reach), the foam guards are ripping, and rust has already begun to form at several connecting points. A couple of notes: my kids aren’t American chunks (75 lbs is the top weight of my heaviest child) and all are 8 and under. Secondly - yes, I put it all together correctly per instructions. I’m the guy that organizes everything as it comes out of the box and follows the instructions exactly. If you are desperate and buy this set anyways, please check the hardware weekly (daily wouldn’t hurt) as the bolts will fail eventually. I have already replaced many of mine with grade 8 from the local hardware store. They truly don’t make things like they used to. ... show more

    • Better than expected
I was beyond impressed with this swing set! The directions were clearly outlined. The parts were easy to locate. That being said there were A LOT of parts. Thank goodness we sent the kids off to a party and then kept them inside while we put it together so the little hands didnt help. It took two of us working steady for 5-6 hours to put it together. We used our own tools (although they provide some ok tools) Read the directions carefully. at each step and you will be fine. Some things of note. 1. the foam around the bottom of the poles makes it difficult to anchor in concrete... the slide also doesnt attach well when the legs are sunk into concrete. You could choose a different way to anchor the swing set. 2. you can put the slide on either side just pay attention to where you put the crossbar with the holes. Our accidentally ended up on the wrong side. 3. The circle swing is a pain to put together. we had to work hard together to get it put together. All in all though I could not be more excited about the swing set! I think we are going to see many years of fun! It is shockingly sturdy for the price! Perfect for a family preschoolers and elementary age children. Would probably not be a good idea for larger children in upper elementary and middle school because the swings and slide would be a little small ... show more
