Buying this for the X-Box would not disappoint anyone. There are no special features other than the "skin" or design is Gears of War 5. As long as you like the feel of an xbox controller you will really not have any issues with it. I primarily bought it for playing some games on my iPhone. Pairing with an iOS device was simple. It is no different then pairing with any other bluetooth devices. Turn on the controller in pair mode, go to settings->bluetooth, and then tap on Xbox Game Controller. Done! Now games are a lot easier for me to play then using virtual controls. I also tried it out on my Firestick TV 4k. Went into the settings there to pair it and very easy to do. My only caution on this is if you pair it with your Firestick TV and mobile device, there may be some competition there between devices. What I mean by competition is if the Firestick is on as well as the mobile device, in my case my iPhone, they both were trying to pair with the controller at the same time. Only one could do so. I had to either make sure the Firestick was powerless or my phone's bluetooth was off during the initial startup. One the device I wanted to pair with connected, I could turn the other device back on and no worries. Just a heads up. Otherwise a great controller at a great Black Friday price. Glad to have one. You won't be disappointed in getting this version of Microsoft's controller. It does stand out, but in a subtle way, from the standard controllers.     • Can use it for hours!
The day I first got this controller, I hooked it up to a PC with ease, and proceeded to use it for hours. Works great in Win7, Win10, and on Steam Link or Steam Link for Raspberry Pi. It has the same "sport" feel as the newer line of XB One controllers with the rubberized grips and etched triggers, both details which are done just right for long sessions with the controller without it feeling too grippy or slippy or the triggers being too sharp or too flappy. The colors and design are really great, the paint is clean and not too matte or too shiny, and it honestly reminds me of the Halo Reach controllers from the Xbox 360. Needed another controller to use for my PC and as backup for my X. Amazon had this ON SALE for Black Friday (kicking the crap out of Best Buy's Black Friday price and $5 cheaper than Gamestop's Black Friday price). Although Gears 5 is by far the worst of the series (my opinion- sorry fanboys- not into "woke" in my videogames); having a Gears themed controller is kinda cool. This works perfectly and have used for a marathon gaming session thus far. It does "feel" different than the standard black XB1X controller, but not in a bad way. Here's hoping this withstands the gaming abuse that my standard controller has- and still works perfectly. #worthIt ... show more

    • Great controller for the price, a definite buy if you’re a gears 5 fan!
This is a nice controller for the price. It far exceeded my expectations. This purchase was made because I had family in for Thanksgiving and figured I would use this controller as extra, that quickly changed after examining it. Here’s the lowdown as I see it for Gears 5 Xbox one controller, besides the great graphics and free downloadable content, it is extremely comfortable to hold, the right and left sticks as well as the triggers are textured. Speaking of the two sticks there don’t feel cheaply made, in fact they have a smooth, almost a glide to them. I would highly recommend buying this. I purchased this controller in July 2024 and it's now Oct 23rd 2024 and the controller now constantly loses power/connection to my pc.I wish I could get a refund so $100 wasted and didn't even last more than 3months.
