Easy to set up, easy to integrate with Google (and probably Alexa as well), works very consistently and as a bonus it's a camera-based system so you can see the garage door and what's around it, if it's open/closed, etc. The only difficult part of the install was honestly figuring out where to plug the wires into my garage door openers, since I had a few cables coming out of it. Once I grabbed a paper clip and went with the ol' trial and error method though, I was good to go. Unfortunately(?) since it was easy enough, I can't speak to their tech support, but I've had a decent experience in the past. As of writing, it has rules you can set up where it will auto-close after you leave your house. Unfortunately the Internet access going down the hill away from my house isn't great. As far as I can tell, if I don't have Internet connectivity when I get to that magical distance, the garage will never close. Thankfully I'll get a notification that the garage door was left open, but it's still open until I get to my destination or whenever I look at my notifications next. If I go a different/longer path away from my house with more consistent Internet access, it closes on its own more consistently. It would be nice if it would detect that it can't reach the server and keep trying until it works instead of (seemingly) trying once and giving up. There's also (currently) no option to automatically open the garage when you get home. It could get annoying or even possibly have safety concerns but having the option would be nice. Still, thanks to the Google integration, I just ask Google to open whichever garage I want to open on the way back so that it's open when I get there. Minor gripes aside though, I like it a lot better than the MyQ system I previously had and I even ended up buying a second one for the second garage.

We had a few car thefts in our neighborhood recently. I was tired of going to bed and then walking to the garage 30 minutes later wondering if I shut the garage door. Our opener is older, mid 90’s I believe and I debated buying a new model with a internet capability. I found this while searching for alternatives and I am pleased with the end result. I have several other Wyze cameras and I like having visibility to several spaces through one app. The physical installation was relatively easy. I did have issues connecting the camera to the internet through the QR code which was mildly infuriating, the reason for 4 stars. For the price, I highly recommend.

The setup was really quick and easy. The Wyze app had video instructions as well. The product works well, however, I receive alerts that the garage is open/closed due to lights shining through my garage door windows. This is the only reason why I am giving it 4 stars out of 5.

Used the plan B hookup to the push button which works fine. My garage door opener is an old Genie likely from the 80's so there is no other option to hook it up. Wires were too short. Both the power wire and the controller wire to the push button were short. Fortunately I had a Kasa camera in the garage which had a long cord. for the controller, I had to splice a wire so it could reach. The good news was when all is said and done it worked!

Straightforward product. Easy to install and use. One of the selling point for me was using QR code to sense if the door is closed or not, rather than having a device that requires a battery or actual wired sensor. It worked great, worked flawlessly. Always working correctly even when the QR code was reflecting on the roof of the car. But I had to return, because smart home integration is very limited. I'm not sure about Alexa integration as I use Google Home as my smart home. If you get this, you cannot view the camera through Google Home and can only control the garage open/close with voice (at least at the time of this review). Which to me, defeats the purpose, if I only wanted to do that, I would've got just the opener from other brand, camera is for surveillance and to have a peace of mind, and the product I bought should work how I want them to work. Sure, Wyze app is fine but I don't want to open the app separately each time. Simple checking should work via smart home integration. This was my first Wyze product, and don't get me wrong, their product is great. But I don't like the fact that their doors are so closed tight and only open partially. With the data breach they experienced and their commitment to support Matter, will be watching how they continue to make, change their product.

I often question whether I or my teen son forgot to close the garage when leaving the house. I have also needed to let pet sitters in while on vacation, and the only solution was to leave a key hidden or give them the garage door code. This simple and affordable device solves both of those problems and more. Now, I can check the live feed, get notifications when the door has been opened, view video footage of events, and open/close the door remotely. Setup was pretty straightforward. It took a few tries to connect to the wifi because I neglected to. notice that it could not use 5G. It also took a little while for the camera to read the set up QR code. The connection to the garage door opener took me a little longer than expected due to my complete lack of knowledge regarding wiring. I watched a YouTube video on connecting the wires to the correct terminals. It was tricky to twist the new wires around my current ones, as the stripped portion was short and difficult to grip. However, I was eventually successful. Then, I simply plugged in the camera and it attached to my garage railing magnetically! After two weeks of use, I can say that it seems that it will be well worth the minimal cost. And at $15/year for the pro camera coverage, I opted in. The camera alone is worth the cost, as it gives peace of mind that all is well!

Easy to install. Works. just what we wanted. We drive away and then think did we close the garage, now we can open the app and see is we left it open and if we did we can close it as we are driving away. Easy to set up on the phone.
