I looked at this vs a couple others for several weeks, and then the new version came out and knocked the price of this one into the basement. I didn't need whatever the upgrade was (battery life), so this was a no brainer. We have a rectangular 30' saltwater pool 3 to 6 foot depth with a 18" deep baja with steps and a rail on one side and another access point /step on the deep end. Robot works great, cleans all but one, 2 foot section blocked by the rail and hasn't gotten stuck yet with all this complexity, no matter what mode I choose, it just works as it is supposed to. It takes a LOT of calcium out (generated by the salt cell) and a crap ton of dog hair (generated by 2 big dumb 110 pound labs). Once you set it up with Bluetooth and choose what you want it to do, you just push the button and drop it anywhere in the pool. Couldn't be simpler to use. It is pretty heavy, as others have mentioned. But I knew that. I just hook it and guide it over to the steps and horse it from there. I haven't tried getting fancier with the app or anything, I just drop and forget. I have only two real gripes: the access door and latch (not even that) the basket is a little chintzy, I could see myself breaking it if not paying attention. And you can't open that easily when it's plugged in because the cord and plug is in the way. Not a major complaint, but just FYI you can't easily remove or replace the basket with it plugged in. The other thing - not really avoidable I guess - is that is uses a proprietary plug, which actually drives me nuts. I struggle with this with stuff like my electric scissors or rechargeable screwdrivers etc. We can put a man on the moon etc. but we can't standardize into one plug for small stuff and one for big stuff? Give me a break. I would very much give up fast recharge time for a USB connector. But then again, maybe others need that 3-hour recharge time and there's no "big stuff" standard. I have a huge central box for all of the proprietary cords and wall warts in the house and garage, which is something that took me years to figure out, so Pro Tip maybe. Well that escalated quickly, but I guess I will just say that this thing works great, is easy to use and eliminates the whole ridiculous vacuum and hose section mess, so I very much recommend this. Second best thing for the pool after skimmer socks. I mean, If you don't have those, now you're just making it 5x more difficult for no reason. Which is cool, if that is your thing.

I’ve been using this robotic pool vacuum for a while now and I’m honestly impressed. It does a great job picking up dirt, leaves, and even fine debris from the bottom of the pool. The suction power is strong and the coverage is pretty thorough—it doesn’t miss many spots. What I really like is how easy it is to use. Just drop it in, press a button, and let it do its thing. It saves me a lot of time compared to manual cleaning. The battery life is also solid and enough for a full cleaning cycle. Cleaning the filter is simple, and the build quality feels durable. It also climbs walls better than I expected. Overall, this has made pool maintenance so much easier and more efficient. Definitely recommend it if you want a hassle-free cleaning solution!

We purchased this product based on reviews and comments on excellent customer service, but that has not materialized in our situation. We purchased our WYBOT a year ago and absolutely loved it the first season; however, just short of a year into owning it, the battery completely quit charging. I initiated a conversation with their technical support. After sending pics and videos, I was told that since it’s under warranty, I should return it and would receive a refurbished device with full warranty. Communication was very slow. Their business hours for calls are limited to 9AM-5PM PST Monday-Friday, but there’s nobody who can actually help available at that time. Only people to take notes and pass along a message. All other communication has been via emails that come after 9PM, and never more than one a day regardless of how quickly I respond. They received my return over a week ago and still have not shipped the replacement. I have reached out to check in several times, and nobody can give me an estimate of when I should expect it only “please be patient, we’ll let you know when it ships”. So now, they have my money and the device, and I’m left with nothing at the height of pool season with the neighbor’s crepe Myrtle raining debris into my pool every day and no apparent means to escalate the problem.

Recently had some service done on my pool pump/filter. The tech said this was a smart purchase. It does need to recharged every 2 hours but my pool was in bad shape from a drain issue. This has been taking care of the gunk on the bottom and sides of the pool. So far it has picked up the stuff I got it for. I do wish it cleaned for a longer period, but there is less scrubbing for me to do! Very easy to use, charge push power and drop. It does the rest!

I have a 21' round above ground vinyl lined pool with steel sides. I've been using my Wybot C1 for about 6 weeks now. I've got to say, this is a pretty solid unit. It's great for daily maintenance, but I still have to occasionally vacuum with the traditional vacuum. With that being said, today was the first time in 6 weeks. Wybot picks up a lot of stuff, stuff I can't even see on the floor of the pool, but DOES leave micro fines in the wrinkles and divots of the vinyl liner. I didn't do the greatest install on the vinyl, so I expected a few problems. I think he'd do better on a completely flat bottom floor. I always rinse the filter immediately after pulling it out... it's interesting to see what's in there. As far as climbing the walls and cleaning the waterline... he does that great, even in an above ground pool. I usually don't use that feature, because the skimmer keeps my waterline pretty clean. Does take a while to recharge, so plan the recharge time. You can't communicate with him when he's under water, so you have to set the program you want and then submerge the robot. It will run until finished or the battery dies, then park next to the wall. It is a little heavy to lift out and drain, but not too bad. I'd go 5 stars of the robot picked up everything... but even the robot vacuum in my house needs some help from time to time.

This pool robot is something I didn’t even believe I needed until I got it. Seriously, my wife has been telling me I needed to get one of these things because I have been manually vacuuming the pool for decades. I enjoy doing it that way, so I felt no desire to buy a robot. Okay, so finally she got me this one for my birthday, and I’ve been using it for a month now. wow. I can’t say enough good about it. Our pool is 16x32, and it’s now cleaner than I ever could get it manually. I enjoy watching it work for a while, then I can go do other things while it does what it does, which is a better job than I had been doing. It has strong suction and gets EVERYTHING from leaves to bugs and worms to tiny little specks that I never even could see before. The filter box is easy to clean out, and it’s easy to plug in and charge. The battery lasts plenty long to get the job done. It seems well-made, like it should last many years of use. I generally use it to clean the pool floor only, but a couple of times I let it clean the entire pool - walls and all. It did great! I couldn’t believe how well it sticks to the walls, but really it uses the force from the water it sucks from the surface and blows out its top. It provides thrust from the top to push it firmly onto the surface it’s climbing. It comes with extra floating pieces I could easily install in it for buoyancy if needed, but I threw those away because it climbs just fine. Going over obstacles like the drains and light fixture are no problem, but it does get a little challenged with the steps. That’s really not an issue since I brush the steps off before starting the robot anyway. For what its worth, we like it so much we named her “Rosie” after the robot on the Jetsons.

After a month or so with this robot, It does work well to clean up my pool, as it gets all the leaves and dirt very well. However, I would say the battery runs quite fast. For the price and features I would think the battery would last for a few cleans and not just for one time. I have to charge it after every run, Even when I use the eco feature to see if it can last longer. All and all its good for a clean and saves time hand cleaning the pool, but it's the battery usage that could use improvement.

Update August 14 2026 - So please read review below to understand my update- so I got the replacement unit for one of my Wybots that was not turning on - it took 2 1/2 weeks ish. The replacement is practically brand new and came with all the bits, just a couple scratches on it. - I bought the new unit to get me through the downtime - In hindsite maybe I overreacted but now I have a spare - Also thinking about it I think the warranty method is still slow but they also came through with flying colors in the end. So I am going to be a WYBOT Customer as long as I own a pool - Hope that makes sense and helps your decision on purchasing. I must admit I have only purchased WYBOT so I have nothing to compare it with - but if it works stick with it- and if it doesn’t they will fix it! Original Review- First off this is my my third WYBOT - I have only had this one a week so far so good - I will edit this review in the future if things go bad - I originally choose WYBOT over many others as the price was good and the reviews were good - the original small one I got for small above ground pools still works after 3 years - however my new pool is 16’ x 32’ In ground. So I bought a second WYBOT - this one a C1 - Well that worked great for 1 1/2 years then something went wrong- it would charge but not turn on - I realized that it had a 2 warranty so I contacted customer support and they answered immediately and offered a solution- ship the bad one to them and after they got it - they would ship me a replacement which would be a refurbished one - (I assume one repaired from another customer return). They sent me a fed ex ground shipping label. I shipped it almost a week ago and I tracked it - it’s still not to them - Pa to Ca takes a bit. So since I am in the middle of pool season I bought this one which is a C1 (which was on sale for 40% off). My original C1 model was no longer available. This was an upgraded version. I could not wait weeks to clean the pool and I have no bottom drain in the pool for my filter system. Ok so the bottom line is - The C1 works really well when it’s working It’s 1/2 on 1/3 the price of some others Customer Support is there if needed The method of covering the warranty gets a 1 When I get the replacement I will now have a spare Despite having trouble I will not hesitate to buy from them again.
