UPDATE 05/21/2023~ WUUK customer service is amazing!! I don't get a lot of activity on the doorbell camera, so I didn't have to charge the battery until a few weeks ago (so the battery charge lasted 6 months!). I broke the tiny tab at the bottom of the mounting plate when removing the unit. I contacted WUUK customer support via the email link and explained that I needed to order a replacement plate. They asked me for my Amazon order number and then told me that the unit was still under warranty and they would send a free replacement plate. It arrived in 2 days. I appreciate that I didn't have to argue with them that the tiny tab might be too easy to damage -- they just replaced it! The cameras stay connected all the time, and the quality of the video is great. Notifications are easy to manage. I've had several other camera systems in the past, but this is by far the best in terms of the product ease-of-use and the customer support. Original review: October, 2022 ~The product is exactly as described. Easy instructions; the WUUK app is fast and intuitive. I did have a problem creating my app account and messaged WUUK Support. They responded quickly to let me know that the AWS server had been down but I could try again now. The Cameras linked to the base immediately. Resolution is MUCH clearer than the older wireless cameras I was using. The WUUK app events log is organized better than the old brand of cameras event log (i.e., I would have to open the event log for each individual camera to view the recordings. The WUUK app shows all thumbnails in chronological order for all cameras.) Events are easy to delete. I like that the storage is in the base unit; not on a tiny SD card that is hard to remove. The charger can stay connected to the base unit, so I won't have to search for the charging cable when I need it. The cameras have been operating for about a week, and still show 100%. Price was very reasonable. And let me mention again, the Quality of the 2k resolution is SO MUCH better than the 1080 on my old cameras! (to be fair, those old cameras have been faithfully recording in all kinds of weather for about 4 years and I didn't even realize how fuzzy the recordings actually were....) There have been 2 firmware updates in the past week, and I like that the app shows a red dot on the settings wheel when there is an alert in the Settings.     • Finally found a doorbell I'm happy with!!
I had a R!ng doorbell for several years. However, I wanted to replace it due to the paid subscription and reduced features unless upgrading to the more expensive paid subscription tiers. Also, it would sometimes lag really bad, not ringing for up to 30 seconds after someone pressed the doorbell. I first was inclined to go with a L0rex doorbell as it came with the excellent 8-camera system with video recorder that I bought last year. However, unfortunately, the doorbell wouldn't record locally on my network video recorder because I had 8 cameras already and I never could get the doorbell ring sound to work despite following directions and endless fiddling. After a bit of research, I came across the Wuuk system. It's a bit confusing to figure out which to buy, but I ended up choosing the Smart Doorbell Pro for several reasons --- local video storage, radar for human detection, and NO SUBSCRIPTIONS! I couldn't be happier! Video quality is GREAT for both day and night. The radar works exactly as advertised -- no more false alarms when movement is detected. Local video storage works well and has enough for several months of storage. The phone app is surprisingly good and allows you to receive notifications (either audio-only or with video) even when not at home. You can also talk and interact with your guest through your phone. My only negative comment is that setup could be a bit more streamlined. After mounting, do not click it into place, instead carry it over to where the hub is installed to complete the setup (you have to pair the doorbell with the hub). You can do this because the doorbell runs on battery or can be wired. The rest of the setup was painless and easy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ... show more

This doorbell security camera is almost perfect, but does have some limitations that I hope they can improve on in future iterations. Some of the helpful information about this camera was missing, so I bit the bullet and bought it. I'm happy with the purchase and below I've provided some details about what you can expect for its quality, storage and resolution. Hopefully this is helpful to other users. The camera's video quality is pretty solid. It has a resolution of 2048x1536 and is 15 fps (frames per second). If you're worried about storage, as I was, you can choose between "Standard" or "Advanced" in the settings. I selected the advanced option and when I downloaded the video, the file details indicated it used HEVC (high efficiency video coding), which was a pleasant surprise. This means that the recording can retain most of its original quality, but uses a lot less space due to compression. I have several days worth of videos stored and at 30 seconds record time, I'm only using 254.7MB out of the 29.11GB of usable storage. One 30 second daytime video uses about 4.1MB total, although I'm sure this can vary slightly. Setup and installation was very simple. The base station connected almost immediately and after it was synced with the app, it immediately had a firmware upgrade. The base station has an ethernet port, which was good to see. I also was able to connect the camera to my 5GHz Wi-Fi band, I had expected it to only be able to connect to 2.4GHz. See some pros and cons below. Pros: -Simple setup -Solid video quality -App is fast and sufficient overall -HEVC recording -Good battery life -Built in alarm if device is removed (must be manually turned on) -Camera uses USB-C for charging (cable included) Cons: -Some artifacts in video recording -You won't see humans "head to toe" unless they step-back from the door (see attached image) -Can't increase fps, 30 seconds would have been nice -Storage is not expandable, although with HEVC, this isn't as big of an issue -The USB port on the base station is for charging only Overall I would recommend this doorbell system, especially if you're living in an apartment. ... show more
