Can't think of any big negative. Only one at all is the molding under the seat is not flat and would take a bit more effort to clean the bottom of the seat. But for the reduction in weight over a Wood Seat and the fact that this is a VERY Stable seat makes this a great trade off-- Even more so that this unit is 1/2 the cost of some others.

Read inst. have them at your side when you install. If you use the rubber inserts make sure tighten them to the max with screwdriver, not a power driver.

Status: First day after install Notes: One seat, two optional methods of install. Unfortunately, I chose the expansion bolts (rubber covered bolts) option, which was an exercise in frustration and, ultimately, did not install in an acceptable way. I probably spent 15 minutes trying to make this work so that the seat was aligned properly and so that the expansion bolts would hold without popping out. After abandoning this method, I used the plastic bolts and had the seat installed and aligned in 1-2 minutes. Super easy. After install, it appears that there is still some play in the seat. It isn't too bad and seems to be at the hinge. Not optimal, but will see how it holds up over time. Pros: - Material. Seat material generally seems sturdy - Installation. Plastic bolt option was super easy to install - Comfort. Overall, seems comfortable Cons - Cost. For this cost, I would have expected a better product. However, so far, it is not inadequate and seems good enough. In this time of COVID, though we aren't interested in making any unnecessary returns, so we'll keep it. If this product had cost less, I might have given it an extra star, but even with the coupon applied, this is not likely worth the $40 it cost. - Installation. Expansion bolt installation method seems flawed and frustrating. It may work for some, but I suspect it will not work well for many/most. Seems kind of pointless/wasteful to include this method, but YMMV. - Quality issue. Slight wobble seems to originate with where the seat attaches to the hinge (a problem inherent in the product), not the mount (for which the installer is responsible). We can probably adapt, though this may be a mild surprise for guests. This also may lead to unnecessary stress/wear and tear on the actual seat. Only time will tell. - Junk #1. Brand name screams "generic product," yet, for some reason, there seemed to be a need to adhere a cheap sticker to "brand" the item - with an unpronounceable name, no less. It is easy to remove, so this is trivial. But, it's just kind of dumb and wasteful - and one more thing to do to prepare it for use. - Junk #2. Others found the enclosed thank you card charming. Again, I found it to be a waste, especially when the text looks like it was copied straight out of Google Translate. Ultimately, this was another unnecessary, low effort touch. If you purchase this product, save yourself 10 seconds and put directly into recycling. Verdict: You can probably get better quality for this cost ($40) or get this level of quality for lower cost. Otherwise, this product seems acceptable and has some positive attributes. We need a second lid for our upstairs bathroom. I have ordered from a different maker (Mayfair) and will review that product after installation.

I used the old screws and receptacles from the old toilet seat I was replacing -- all I used of the new parts were the rubber pieces that fit under the hinges. The instructions for using the new screws etc. were confusing -- why bother with them? The result was completely satisfactory.

It is light weight. The close feature is nice, no more lid slamming down. It’s inexpensive. And it’s comfortable. It was easy to install, too. It came with instructions and hardware for two different types of installs.
