It's easy to put on and the "slow close" works great. We have two (2) toilets with these seats and have not had any problems. If you're looking for a "slow close" seat, I'd recommend this seat.

This is a good toilet seat. Very easy to install and impossible to over torque the attaching plastic bolts. Closing mechanism works as advertised. The only drawback is they are not very heavy. I never thought I’d be excited about a toilet seat, but this one has truly impressed me! Installation was a breeze, taking less than 10 minutes. The seat itself is sturdy, well-crafted, and feels like it’s built to last. This toilet seat is adequate, but seems flimsy, and cheaply made. The plastic is so light that the slow closing mechanism works very slowly (if one doesn't push the seat/cover down part way by hand - which is easy, but might wear out the slowing mechanism more quickly). On my unit, the plastic cover for the attachment hardware seemed to distort a bit when I installed it, so that one of the hinged covers refused to stay closed, and I may have to glue it shut. (To be fair though, I installed it over a manual Tushy bidet, situated between the toilet and the seat, and that might have contributed to the problem. Although it wasn't a problem with the wooden seat that I had there before.) ... show more

The seat works like it was made for us. It was easy to install with the detailed instructions that came with it. We have a much more expensive seat in the upstairs bathroom that we love.
