Description

Style:20V Battery & Charger Sold Separately Drill a pilot hole, switch, and drive in the fastener, then do it again, and again, without ever switching out a bit. The Switchdriver is a two-headed drill/driver that gives you instant access to your two favorite bits at all times. You don’t need two separate drills lying around. And you don’t need to fumble with bits anymore. You can just rotate the head to the next bit when you have the Worx 20V Power Share Switchdriver 2-in-1. Plus, it’s packed with more features: 12 torque control settings let you select the perfect amount of torque for the job at hand, up to a max of 265 in-lbs. The 2-speed control enables you to go from 0-400 revs/min or 0-1500 revs/min. The max drilling capacity is 3/8” in steel and 1-3/16” for wood. And you can even rotate the head with one hand while you keep your other hand on the project. (You just squeeze the red dual chuck release button and use your thigh or forearm to push over the head to the next bit.) This Switchdriver doesn’t come with a battery, but that’s by design. It makes this model less-expensive because if you already have a Power Share battery or two at home, you don’t need to pay more for a tool with another battery. Power Share batteries are interchangeable with every tool on the platform.

  • This hex shank drill can use non hex/standard drills as an option
Style: 20V Battery & Charger Sold Separately
I had not considered Worx tools before. But after purchasing the Worx "Aerocart" and their 20v string trimmer some time ago I was so impressed with the innovative design of the cart I began to look at other Worx tools. The Aerocart cart design had so many features that were just seamlessly integrated. The GT Evolution string trimmer had so many ergonomic features I was able to retire my gas powered Honda edger and string trimmer. I purchased this Switchdriver and the Axis combination jig saw / Reciprocating saw for their versatility. There are many great reviews on this Switchdriver that don't need repeating. But what happens if you break your only hex shank drill. As it turns out the clearance between the native drill chuck and the protective handle is just enough to to enable the use of many 1/4 inch, hex shank drill chucks (as shown in the photo). The outside Diameter of the chuck shown in the photo is 1.130. So in an emergency you can use standard drills in the auxiliary chuck, up to 1/4 inch. This is the absolute max. diameter of any chuck that will clear the handle. But, at that max diameter the switch drill chucks rotate as they should. Hope this helps someone. ... show more

  • Am pretty disappointed in this unit
Style: w/ 20V Battery, Charger, 67 piece kit
Am pretty disappointed in this unit. It's okay- but not nearly as useful as I though it would be. It won't stay tucked into the top ladder holes because of the way the bits go it, they just pull out and the unit falls. There is no belt clip. So if you're working on a ladder, you'll be up and down that ladder any way- it doesn't save you any time or effort there. First time I used a drill bit, a smaller one, it broke. The mechanism does have a good amount of side-to-side wobble, so if you need any kind of precision, this isn't your tool. I think it has too much wobble myself. The clutch adjustment hasn't worked right for me. I've dialed it down to the softest setting, yet it strips out the driver tip - won't let go. I do like its power and torque, though. So, for the money, I'd suggest getting a good Ryobi rather than this one. I used it on a project at work for a week or so then finally got fed up and went to my local store and bought a good Makita kit. Since then, this has sat at home, unused. Not thrilled with it. ... show more

  • I really love this drill! I use it more than any other drill I own...
Style: 20V Battery & Charger Sold Separately
Very well built and I love the concept of two drills in one unit. Makes life easier to pilot hole drilling and driving the screw afterwards without having to change bits. Great concept. WORX seems to make very good reliable products so far... I think an improvement would be if they also included a hammer drill setting. I kind of need that sometimes in some jobs. So I gotta grab my other brand drill to complete those tasks. Plus I highly recommend for users to get the Fast Charger and also the 20v 4.0Ah batteries. Anything less that that, well it will not be a great experience on a long (all day) project, because the charge doesn't last long on their smaller sized and lower amperage batteries. Not a fan of their 20v 1.5 Ah and 2.0Ah batteries and their smaller standard charger that will take like 5hrs to charge a single battery. The fast charger will charge the batteries within an hour or so, much better I think when you are in a pinch to complete a job. UPDATE: After working with it on smaller projects where stripping a screw or damaging the surface was a concern, I did notice that no matter the setting I would place on the dial (torque setting), it would still strip the screws or over drive them into the wood and etc. I then contacted WORX and since this was still within the 3 year warranty, they quickly sent me a replacement and the new one works perfect now. The torque dial works as it should, and now when I set it to the lowest settings, as soon as the drill senses resistance, it will stop. Great company -- absolutely no hassle! ... show more

  • Great drill! Wayyy better than my old one
Style: w/ 20V Battery, Charger, 67 piece kit
I am very pleased with this drill, and even though I've only owned it for 2 days, I am confident it's going to last me a long time. WORX really puts the extra effort into their products, you can tell this right away. I like their initiative to save money for their customers by having the same power pack for most all of their tools and the ability to stack them modularly, although I am not sure that the battery packs included in this combo kit are stackable to 40v. The kit does include two 20v batteries which is super convenient if you order two or more products. This is because they allow you to order the product itself, without the useless stuff you don't need! Brilliant!!! It's very lightweight compared to my old drill, and the design is absolutely perfect in your hand. I was contemplating buying this because of the price- $100+ dollars for a cordless drill was a lot for me because I'm not a heavy craftsman, but I do enough to enjoy a good quality tool that doesn't slow me down. But after I saw it came with a bunch of different useful bit heads and other stuff, plus a high quality looking case (which it is the nicest tool case I've personally had before! nice job) I was sold. I had been using my old drill until one of the bits snapped in half and I decided that I couldn't take that piece of crap any longer, and I am glad I stumbled upon the WORX brand!! Only complaint is it's not made in the USA. ... show more

  • Great for women's hands - fits better and easy to use
Style: 20V Battery & Charger Sold Separately
LOVE this drill! My old no-name one which someone bought for me died after not much use so I purchased this one because I have other Worx products I love - and this one is SO SO much better. This one has much more power, is easier to use, and the best part is it's made to fit women's smaller hands so much better. Very lightweight and easy to hold. I also love the light which illuminates what you're working on and the ease of changing bits. I haven't used it enough to be able to comment on battery life, but I've been happy with battery life on my other Worx products. And I love that I can share batteries so I was able to buy this one without one and save money - and I'll always have a battery charged and ready when I need to use the drill since they're shared batteries. I won't use this drill often - just for small installations and putting things together - but the ease of use will lower my frustration and I love that. I highly recommend this drill for household projects and especially for women. ... show more
