Description

Jump back and forth between your two favorite bits with the 20V Power Share Switchdriver 2-in-1. With two rotating chucks, you can reserve one bit for the pilot hole and one for driving the fastener and just instantly switch between the two—no fumbling for bits in your pocket or dropping them down a ladder. And there’s no need to keep a second drill lying around. It makes projects where you need multiple bits go much, much faster. You can even keep one hand free to hold the project while you rotate the chucks with your other hand and a little help from your thigh or forearm. Just squeeze the red dual chuck release button and press the head against your arm or leg to switch it over. Easy-peasy. With 12 torque settings, up to a max of 265 in-lbs, you can find just the right amount of torque for the job, and not worry about stripping screws or damaging the project surface. And with two speeds, 0-400 revs/min, 0-1500 revs/min, you have the flexibility and power to finish any common drilling application. I’ve only had this a couple months, but so far I love my new switch! Easy to use & lightweight which is a plus for me since I’m disabled & don’t have a lot of upper body strength. I love being able to switch from drilling to using the screwdriver bit without having to change bits out & tighten. With the squeeze of the trigger, you can flip or switch the drill bit for the screwdriver bit in a second! It does not get in my way either! So easy & convenient! Love the flashlight which makes it easy to see where I’m drilling. I also love it having 2 batteries. So far my battery hasn’t gone dead before completing a project! I do have a Worx weed eater & a Worx leaf blower, so it’s nice that all of the batteries interchange! Love that! Update: 12/12/20. Now that I’ve had this product for 10 months, I can honestly say this was the best investment purchase I’ve made in a long time! I’m just as happy with the performance today as I was when I bought this. I’ve used it for many projects & it is great for all those small jobs! If your in the construction business, I would recommend getting a corded drill, just for the added power & longevity of the tasks being performed, but for hanging pictures, fixing things around the house & yard that doesn’t require hours of constant use, this is absolutely perfect! I’ve gotten 2-3 hours use at 1 time without any issues. If I had any suggestions at all to the designers at WORX, I would ask that instead of the quick release for the screwdriver bits, to have one that manually tightens, only because I’ve got tons of screwdriver bits & drill bits that won’t fit this drill. It would be nice to be able to use any kind of bit on this product. Since this purchase, I’ve purchased the cordless SawZall, Cordless Multitool saw, Cordless skill-saw & cordless circular saw all made by WORX & have loved them all! Other than the quick release, which would be great if it would fit all bits, I still love this switch drill! ... show more

    • Switch hitter hits it out of the park.
How did I live without this for so long? I've been struggling with a drill and driver for what seems like forever. This made quick work of many projects. The battery pack is compatible with a whole line of electric tools. It charges fast and does a respectable amount of power. So much fun I'm getting more done. Update 8/2020: This was a Christmas gift from my wife, who had seen me struggle with multiple corded drills. I had nine or so drills already so for a half second I thought she had just not been in the garage. But then I saw the flip, and a light came on. I have had it about 20 months. I use it a lot. The past month, all day every day. The battery goes all day still. It's close to my favorite Christmas gift ever. She brags about it. I brag about it. Drill, flip, Speed switch, screw, flip, Speed switch, repeat. It becomes a reflex motion. When you're on a ladder it's all the difference in the world. I made it a holster for my tool belt. Working on the bench it saves a ton of hassle. I'm buying a second one now. Not a replacement, just a second. My skill in this work has improved. I find I am doing two kinds of drilling and screwing at the same time now, like pocket holes and cabinet screws, so it makes sense to have two. Not a hint of disappointment in any facet of this drill/driver. I haven't thrown those other drills away, but they're getting dusty. It takes a special job to make me pull those out, like drilling thick steel. To address the complaint of stripping screws recently posted: It has a torque setting and is dual speed. Screws need the lower speed and if you're stripping them adjust the torque until you're not. If you can't drive the screw without stripping it after adjusting the torque, no driver is going to help you with that. You need to rethink what you're trying to do. TERRIFIC IDEA: I stuck 2 disc magnets (cheap, from Amazon) onto the inside of the drill guard and attach 3-4 extra bits so I can switch from Philips to hex to a different drill bit to whatever or even stick a spare screw or three on. SAVES TONS of TIME and hassle!!! The "Strong Neodymium Disc Magnets" @ $1 each from Amazon are really strong. Perfect for sticking to inside of the drill handle guard thing. I wish somehow this DID work with smooth shank bits but I bought an adapter so I can use non-hex bits and it is only a little bit of a bummer. This is a very well made, extremely clever tool. But it requires special bits (toss ALL the bits you own currently) and is underpowered. I tried drilling for a couple minutes on a job I had just done with standard wired drill (not portable) and the Switchdriver was so wimpy by comparison - rpms on old style drill must have been 50-100% faster and lots more powerful. I really hated to return the drill because it is beautifully made and the switch driver feature is a wonderful concept elegantly executed. But even if I did buy all new bits (not necessarily a bad idea) I still think the drill would be too underpowered and I would have to have a second drill to do many jobs, along with a second array of regular bits. I wish it had more power, basically. I really wanted this for a great Christmas present to myself. But I sent it back. ... show more

I have a lot of Worx tools, and I love them. I’ve been wanting one of these switch drivers since they first came out. I love the idea of being able to have a drill bit and driver in the same tool. It’s super easy to change the chuck, and use the tool. It is very lightweight and well balanced. The tool has plenty of power to drill or drive. It’s the perfect tool if you have to drill pilot holes then drive screws. It speeds up the process and keeps you from moving back and forth between tools. It is a great addition to my stable of Worx tools! I would definitely purchase it again. ... show more
