Engineered for optimal performance, this battery-powered mower is ideal for lawns up to 1/8 acres—all without the costs and hassles of gas. The mower runs on (2) included 20V 4.0Ah PowerShare batteries, which can be quickly recharged with the included dual charger. These same batteries are compatible with 140+ power tools, outdoor power equipment, and lifestyle products that are part of the WORX PowerShare platform, so you can get even more convenient use out of your power. On top of consistently robust performance, this compact and lightweight lawn mower is designed for greater comfort and control. At a competitive weight of just 35 lbs., it allows for effortless pushing and transport. Its slim body and 17" cutting deck also make it easy to maneuver in tight spaces commonly found in smaller yards. And with a fully collapsible handle, you can streamline storage to save space. For added convenience, the mower features a 7-position one-touch height adjustment lever to easily adapt cutting height from 1.5" to 4" without the hassle of multiple levers. Worried about battery charge? The onboard charge indicator provides a quick update on remaining power so you always know when to recharge. This battery-powered lawn mower runs much quieter than gas alternative at only 89dB—a level that's much more peaceful for you and the neighborhood. Cut the way you want with 2-in-1 mulching/bagging—use the mulch plug to leave clippings on your grass as natural nourishment or use the collection bag to simplify cleanup.

  • Fantastic mower. Easy and lightweight!
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
I have had this mower for 2 years now. It is fantastic! I bought it as a backup for when the landscapers did not show up, so I could cut the part of the lawn down by the lake that grows so fast. When the landscapers missed cuts the grass down there would grow to 2 foot tall before they would come back to cut. I got tired of it always looking messy so bought this mower and would go out between the landscaper visits to keep the grass maintained. After about 6 months of that I decided I could do the yard maintenance myself. I am so happy with this mower! It is so easy to use and does a great job. It is so light and easy to push! My yard has never looked better and my grass is always thick, full and green now. The original set of batteries still get 45 minutes when the grass is manageable. If the grass gets to high or the mower stalls out a lot it cuts the battery life down to about 35 minutes. I bought another set of batteries which also get me about 45 minutes. I have about 1/2 an acre to cut of mixed grass types and different levels. With both battery sets I can do the full yard. There are no tricks or fancy maneuvers. Just slide in the charged batteries, slide over the little orange latch and squeeze the handle. I can go forwards or backwards easily and if the weeds/grass is too long it’s easy enough to pull down on the handle to put the cutting blade up so it doesn’t stall or get stuck. I can cut down near the lake so easily, even if it’s muddy, as the mower is so light. People told me to get a self propelled but after looking at the way to reverse them that would be needed by the lake I wasn’t sure if it would be usable there. This mower just goes where I push it so no issues with reverse or the lake. This is one of the best things I have ever bought from Amazon. I am happy to go out and cut my grass whenever I need to, as I know it will be an easy process. I always cut until the batteries run out and then recharge them fully overnight. Sometimes I hose down the mower since it mainly plastic , to keep it clean, but a lot of times I just wipe it clean with a rag. I don’t use the bag to catch the cuttings because it fills up to fast but leaving the cuttings in my grass is never even noticeable. It cuts through all my oak and magnolia leaves. I am an overweight 64 year old woman who has never had to cut grass before and I am glad I don’t have to worry about gas or oil! ... show more

  • Very good for an EM (elec mower) Very good for an EM (elec mower)
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
UPDATE: 29March2023 Well I’ve had two cuts so far this spring & I’m even more impressed. Lawn was dry both times; I cut about an inch off for the first cut of the year; raised the mower up to 4” for the second cut. Cut the entire lawn (mulched) both times with a runtime of about 40 minutes on each cut & still had some juice left in the batteries (one light was on when pressing battery power meter buttons). Impressed me!! After each cut, I recharged the batteries to a full charge in about 2hrs. Pretty darn good. I was so pleased, I just ordered a worx weed wacker on the same 40V battery shared platform!! No need for more batteries or chargers. Original review: Very lightweight. Surprised it worked so well! Nice build by Worx!! Of course, very quiet & EZ to push even on my inclines & sloped yard. I have about 6,000 sq ft yard. (Total lot - sq ft of house, driveway, sidewalks). Charged batteries full, gave it a go. Had 4” of grass, wet from prior day’s rain. Even in mulch mode, it chomped thru the cut effortlessly. But… due to mulching 2” of wet grass, batteries fizzled after 20min. I didn’t have to use turbo mode. Regular eco mode worked fine. I charged batteties again & finished the job the next day. I bought the WG743 17” cut model. Anything with a smaller cut is silly. It finished up the job easily (grass was drier) and it did an amazingly even cut. For a small yard, it does the job well. Worked very good on drier grass. I didn’t try the bag; only mulched. Mulching is healthier for lawn. This was the last cut before winter so I cut 2” off to a height of 2” and it did a great job !!! ... show more

  • Light weight and good value.
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
Needed a light weight battery powered lawn mower as I have to carry the mower down some outside steps to the back yard. Would have happily spent hundreds more for a name brand (EGO, Cobalt, Ryobi, etc.), but they all weigh substantially more than this one. Both my front and back yard are less than 1000 square feet. This mower surprised me by how well it works for the price point. It has a highly adjustable cut height which is set with just one lever. Because it is so lightweight it makes mowing quick and easy. The batteries seem to hold a good charge and allow me to mow several times before I need to recharge. The only drawback is that it lacks good suction to pull up all the grass clippings. It is plenty adequate, though. I would not count on it to suck up leaves off the grass in the fall. While I am certain this mower will not last as long as a better built and more robust brand name mower, it appears I will get plenty of good use. I would speculate that the wheels and batteries might be the first things to fail, but for the price I can replace it every 4 years or so and still come out ahead compared to spending $400+ for a mower from a higher quality manufacturer. ... show more

  • Secret Lawn Mower
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
If you're looking for a really quiet and super easy to use mower at a decent price, this will do the trick on a typical sized lawn (0.2-0.4 acre). If you have a bigger lawn, get more batteries or cut less grass at one time. If you're looking to go green, look around. This probably isn't the best performing environment-friendly mower out there. After the first use on 5-7" grass, this thing performed as well as expected. It's not quite as powerful as a dinosaur guzzling mower, but keep in mind, it's also not a Tesla. However, it sure is quiet and easy to use. My wife called it my secret lawn mower because she could not hear it from inside the house. I could also hear my son and his friends talking as they played basketball in the driveway. This thing is extremely easy to handle. Without the batteries in, it honestly feels like my kids' old toy lawn mower. No joke. With the batteries in, it's not much heavier and I could easily push it with one hand, which means ANYONE in my family can now cut the grass. We'll see if that actually happens. Unboxing was easy and it came in two boxes, so it was in perfect condition. Assembly was a cinch and only took about 5 minutes, basically just attaching the handle bar. I wrapped the power cord around the bar a few times so it wasn't loose even though they provide clips for the cord. To start it, you must hold in the control handle (throttle), then slide over the start switch. It will not start in the opposite order. If you even slightly let go of the handle throttle, the mower turns off so just keep a firm grip and you're good. I'm just used to my gas mower that almost turns off when I let go but reengages after pulling it back in right away. No biggie. It can handle one entire suburbia lawn (0.25ish acre) on a full charge, though I would suggest cutting immediately after charging. It bogged down a little in the areas with taller grass, but pretty similarly to my gas mower (YTD 17"). I walk pretty fast when mowing, so I had to slow down to normal walking speed so the mower could keep up on most of the lawn. Perhaps the turbo mode would be good for the taller grass areas (or my speed walking mode), but probably not worth switching over from eco for the occasional taller grass. The height settings are good, but it seems to go too short on the lowest setting (1) unless you're maintaining a golf course or going on a month long vacation. I was at 5 (out of 7) and that seemed to be perfect (about 3"). Disclaimer 1: I owned a Worx trimmer/edger (same batteries) before getting this mower. Disclaimer 2: We do not own any electric vehicles or Tesla stock. While I know fossil fuels are bad for the environment, I don't think this mower is saving the world or anything. Disclaimer 3: I got this mower after doing enough reviews before donating my old mower to my brother. ... show more

  • Arrived Broken
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
Was so excited to get this mower. Loved that it looked like I only had like 6 things to put together on it. Then when I went to assembled the lower handle, noticed one screw was shorter than on other side. Spent a good 15 minutes turning the screw hoping it would come out farther, pulling on it with pliers, and finally unscrewed the top of the mower and saw that at the end of the screw was a square head and it was caught behind a piece of plastic, just not inserted far enough in by manufacturer - there would have been no way to get it out without taking top apart and off. Put part back on and was so excited to be on my way and proud - as a single mom no less - that I figured out the issue. Then it was simply putting the handle on the grass bag. Ha! I eventually had to take off the metal bar so I wouldn't bend it and KICK the handle into place. Luckily that worked, but took another 15 minutes to get there. Then I had to get pliers to pry open the flaps and get over the metal grass bag bars - guess my fingers aren't strong enough to lift them and slide bar in at same time. Then I realized that the flap that goes over the bag had come off when I took the first part apart to pull the screw out. So had to take top off again. Finally had it all put together, batteries in place, fully charged and slid the key as directed - seemed weirdly simple but I just thought it must trigger a sensor so didn't need to be too precise fitting. Nothing happened. It's now been an hour. I tried again, looked at the manual and noticed the key in manual looked different than the one I had - mine didn't have the prongs on the bottom, like pictured, so looked closely at mine and you could see the plastic was rough on the underside and the prongs or whatever had been there were clearly broken off. I realized then, that it came in a plain brown box, not like other photos on here that show the Worx packaging. So it seems Worx or Amazon sent me a returned and broken mower. So upset. ... show more

  • Great for small yards and tight spaces
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
We got this to trim our front yard around raised garden beds where there is only about 2 feet of clearance. This small mower is maneuverable and lightweight, yet powerful enough to take on the high grass when we get lazy. It has an actual blade instead of a trimmer string and can mow both our small front and back yards on a charge. We've invested in several WORX tools and appreciate the interchangeable batteries. They are easy to insert and remove. They don't charge amazingly fast but fast enough. No complaints! ... show more

  • Disappointing Battery Performance
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
I purchased this mower in December 2025. Shipping didn't deliver until mid January 2026. Did not use until late March 2026. I'm happy with it's lightweight feel and ease of use, but the two 40V batteries gave me around 40 minutes run-time the first few times I used it. Now, it's May 12, 2026 and it shuts down after around 20 minutes or so. Very disappointed in this decrease of battery performance. It takes a really long time to cut my yard because of needing to recharge the batteries. I use it at my parent's property. I have a Ryobi that I use at my own property. With that one I can mow my entire front yard twice on 1 40V battery charge. I guess I should have invested more $$ to get a better mower for my parent's property. Not happy with the battery performed at all. ... show more
