Engineered for optimal performance, this battery-powered mower is ideal for lawns up to 1/8 acres—all without the costs and hassles of gas. The mower runs on (2) included 20V 4.0Ah PowerShare batteries, which can be quickly recharged with the included dual charger. At a competitive weight of just 35 lbs., it allows for effortless pushing and transport. Its slim body and 17" cutting deck also make it easy to maneuver in tight spaces commonly found in smaller yards. And with a fully collapsible handle, you can streamline storage to save space. For added convenience, the mower features a 7-position one-touch height adjustment lever to easily adapt cutting height from 1.5" to 4" without the hassle of multiple levers. Worried about battery charge? The onboard charge indicator provides a quick update on remaining power so you always know when to recharge. This battery-powered lawn mower runs much quieter than gas alternative at only 89dB—a level that's much more peaceful for you and the neighborhood. • Fantastic mower. Easy and lightweight!
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
I have had this mower for 2 years now. It is fantastic! I bought it as a backup for when the landscapers did not show up, so I could cut the part of the lawn down by the lake that grows so fast. When the landscapers missed cuts the grass down there would grow to 2 foot tall before they would come back to cut. I got tired of it always looking messy so bought this mower and would go out between the landscaper visits to keep the grass maintained. After about 6 months of that I decided I could do the yard maintenance myself. I am so happy with this mower! It is so easy to use and does a great job. It is so light and easy to push! My yard has never looked better and my grass is always thick, full and green now. The original set of batteries still get 45 minutes when the grass is manageable. If the grass gets to high or the mower stalls out a lot it cuts the battery life down to about 35 minutes. I bought another set of batteries which also get me about 45 minutes. I have about 1/2 an acre to cut of mixed grass types and different levels. With both battery sets I can do the full yard. There are no tricks or fancy maneuvers. Just slide in the charged batteries, slide over the little orange latch and squeeze the handle. I can go forwards or backwards easily and if the weeds/grass is too long it’s easy enough to pull down on the handle to put the cutting blade up so it doesn’t stall or get stuck. I can cut down near the lake so easily, even if it’s muddy, as the mower is so light. People told me to get a self propelled but after looking at the way to reverse them that would be needed by the lake I wasn’t sure if it would be usable there. This mower just goes where I push it so no issues with reverse or the lake. This is one of the best things I have ever bought from Amazon. I am happy to go out and cut my grass whenever I need to, as I know it will be an easy process. I always cut until the batteries run out and then recharge them fully overnight. Sometimes I hose down the mower since it mainly plastic , to keep it clean, but a lot of times I just wipe it clean with a rag. I don’t use the bag to catch the cuttings because it fills up to fast but leaving the cuttings in my grass is never even noticeable. It cuts through all my oak and magnolia leaves. I am an overweight 64 year old woman who has never had to cut grass before and I am glad I don’t have to worry about gas or oil! ... show more

  • Great for small yards and tight spaces
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
We got this to trim our front yard around raised garden beds where there is only about 2 feet of clearance. This small mower is maneuverable and lightweight, yet powerful enough to take on the high grass when we get lazy. It has an actual blade instead of a trimmer string and can mow both our small front and back yards on a charge. We've invested in several WORX tools and appreciate the interchangeable batteries. They are easy to insert and remove. They don't charge amazingly fast but fast enough. No complaints! ... show more

  • Fantastic and budget friendly!
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
My townhome has a small front + back yard and for the past year I pushed a manual mower. This year, decided I’d had enough of the constant fighting to chop thick weeds and the extra time it took. I already had a Worx battery powered weed wacker I’m happy with so I decided to give this a shot. First off I am THRILLED with how much faster I can finish mowing my lawn. The mower shredded through even the thickest tallest grass and weeds. It’s extremely light and even folds up and can be carried by the handle. The munching bag fills up quick depending on how low you set it but works well. For the price, this was absolutely worth it. I don’t have to spend half my Saturday battling my yard. The dual charger is great and charges my smaller weed wacker batteries too. The only ding is the fold up feature. You need to unscrew these knobs attached to long bolts and it’s not clear how much you need to loosen them before folding. I can see how one might disassemble the handle accidentally rather than loosen for folding. Apart from that, nearly perfect! ... show more

  • Very good for an EM (elec mower)
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
UPDATE: 29March2023 Well I’ve had two cuts so far this spring & I’m even more impressed. Lawn was dry both times; I cut about an inch off for the first cut of the year; raised the mower up to 4” for the second cut. Cut the entire lawn (mulched) both times with a runtime of about 40 minutes on each cut & still had some juice left in the batteries (one light was on when pressing battery power meter buttons). Impressed me!! After each cut, I recharged the batteries to a full charge in about 2hrs. Pretty darn good. I was so pleased, I just ordered a worx weed wacker on the same 40V battery shared platform!! No need for more batteries or chargers. Original review: Very lightweight. Surprised it worked so well! Nice build by Worx!! Of course, very quiet & EZ to push even on my inclines & sloped yard. I have about 6,000 sq ft yard. (Total lot - sq ft of house, driveway, sidewalks). Charged batteries full, gave it a go. Had 4” of grass, wet from prior day’s rain. Even in mulch mode, it chomped thru the cut effortlessly. But… due to mulching 2” of wet grass, batteries fizzled after 20min. I didn’t have to use turbo mode. Regular eco mode worked fine. I charged batteties again & finished the job the next day. I bought the WG743 17” cut model. Anything with a smaller cut is silly. It finished up the job easily (grass was drier) and it did an amazingly even cut. For a small yard, it does the job well. Worked very good on drier grass. I didn’t try the bag; only mulched. Mulching is healthier for lawn. This was the last cut before winter so I cut 2” off to a height of 2” and it did a great job !!! ... show more

  • Broke the 2nd time!
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
BEWARE- It broke the second time I moved my lawn! This was an enormously big expenditure for a low income disabled person like me, so I tried to read reviews and bought the warranty. I was almost finished mowing my front yard when all the sudden the mower started making an enormous bracket. At first I thought perhaps something had been hiding in the grass and gotten run over or a rock was rattling around in there or something, but after I stopped and checked for any foreign objects that was not the case, so I tried to get back to mowing but the noise persisted. It turned out to be the plastic door to the battery compartment on top was not latched and was banging around making a huge racket. I tried to secure the door but found that it was just not clicking into place. I examined the door closely to see if I noticed anything that seemed missing or broken, but I didn't see any piece that seemed to be busted yet the door was just sitting closed with gravity and not latching in any way. I had not closely examined the battery compartment door before this point so I have no reference to how it looked before this happened but certainly it would now not close securely. This store is made of plastic and I then noticed a small crack by one of the hinges. I can't be sure if the crack caused something that would make it rattle or if the rattling caused it to crack. I then looked up my warranty, and it said that it only kicks in when the manufacturers warranty is over. After checking the dates I discovered that the manufacturer warranty is 30 days, and I had bought it one week and one month prior meaning that I've had it for 30 days but the purchase was made before that date. So no manufacturers warranty. Well checking the manufacturers website, you realize they only accept returns in the original packaging. Obviously it would be insane to keep a box the size of my bathroom for a month so I wouldn't have had that anyways. Anyways I was at least at that point grateful that I had spent all that extra money on the warranty. That is, until I realize the warranty covers mechanical and electrical issues and the issue with it breaking after 1 month had to do with a failed piece of plastic part and not anything mechanical or electrical. I feel like I was robbed. This cost me a full months income. I thought voting a warranty would protect me. I wish I had seen a review like mine before I gave them all my savings. ... show more

  • Reliable Lightweight Manuverable
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
One + years in, very impressed. It's narrow. Mowing a 1/4 acre is real work. I always mow DRY grass. Even knocking iff a couple of inches in grass, with taller weeds doesn't phase it. Batteries. At most I run 45 minutes. I ordered a second set with it and can do a 1/4 acre with both. When I swap batteries, I let them cool before charging, as you can run them down til the charger will redlight them, but cooling first will go green. I have had several discs go and this thing is so light and manuverable it doesn't strain my back. The height changer works smoothly. I tip it on to two wheels and then adjust it. An old rag is all you need to ckean it, on top and underneath. I have very low vision and from assemvly to use it's easy. Although I have run over a few small branches I didn't see, the blade is fine so far. My last mowing was delayed by rain and I was cutting over 2" of grass. Cuts finely and doesn't leave 'straw'. ... show more

  • Excellent cordless mower
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
I already have a number of Worx cordless Power Share tools that I am very please with. This mower is no exception. Lightweight enough that it doesn't need a self propel function, but powerful enough to pick up leaves and cut grass efficiently. It picks up leaves at least as well as my larger gas powered mowed did. After I pick up leaves, I gather them in a pile and mulch them with the mower. For this, the Worx mower is not quite as efficient as the gas powered mower was, but I didn't expect it to be. I am more than pleased with the battery life. Starting and stopping the mower frequently to empty the bag is going to use up batteries faster than just continuous mowing, but the batteries last long enough for me to mow/bag leaves from my admittedly small yard and mulch them with one charge. It's also nice to be able to share batteries with all my tools (string trimmer, blower, drill, sawsall/skill saw, plunge cutter/sander, circular saw and now the mower). The only non-cordless Worx tool I have is an edger and if I had known I would be getting all these other Power Share tools later, I would have gotten a Power Share edger, too. The lightweight plastic shell, is heavy duty enough that I'm not worried about it getting damaged, but makes the mower light enough to easily pick up for storage or cleaning it in the blade area. Overall, I am very pleased with this mower. ... show more

  • Lightweight and powerfull enough
Style: 17" 40V Mower w/(2) 4.0Ah Batteries
Some other reviewers talk about positive reviews being fake... well, this is a real review. July 2025 update: - Have never been able to find a replacement blade, I sharpen blade myself with a grinder every other mow. - Still have to double cut (go back over a second time) to get a decent mowing even with sharpened blade - the electric engine seems less powerful this year. Same yard, same grass, weaker / aging mower. - Orange handle power bar broke in 2024, I have rigged a zip tie to keep it going once started, it's a pain - Clipping bag is perforated at bottom after dragging on grass and sidewalk with a full bag - not very durable - One set of batteries still is good enough to mow the lawn, good batteries. - Probably this mowers last year, the broken plastic parts, and poor performance are annoying. 4 years and the thing it cooked. January 2023 update: Now have 2 years of experience with this mower. Knocked one star off for each year's issues, now this is a 3 out of 5 stars due to a series of problems: -1: 2021 Mowing season ended with my hitting a large landscaping rock on October 2021 and damaging the blade quite a bit. 100% my fault. The problem? Worx doesn't make a replacement blade for the 17" model. Had to file the blade and managed to get it almost back to original, but still has dents, is not leveled, etc. Cutting efficiency was fine until blade got damaged. -2: Decided to power through 2022 mowing season with a dented (but sharp) blade. Cutting was less efficient, but fine. Had to go over twice in perpendicular passes to get it to my liking. Darn blade. Then stuff started falling off or not working properly... rear back wheel is annoyingly rubbing on plastic body (needs a washer/spacer?), deck randomly drops, going from a level 6 cut to level 1, and damaged several areas. Then the orange flap on the hard clippings bag vanished. Was on when I started, gone once done. Never found it. Handles hit stuff in garage, and is scored. So basically, this is cheap imported plastic stuff. What was I expecting. Batteries are great. No loss, and being used with other tools. Love the powershare system, just need a better entry point wireless lawnmower, maybe i need to go with metal deck next time, but prices are higher now. The plan is to use the 17" for the 2023 season - March to November. Three years in, it's good enough for my needs despite the issues. I do not plan to replace the 17" with the same model. The lack of replacement blade is not acceptable. April 2021 Review: This is a five star mower. Lightweight, plenty of power for 1/4 acre lot, relatively quiet, good bag, sufficiently sturdy if you take care of your stuff. - First ordered 14inch mower looking for a small storage footprint. 14 inch mower looked way too small and never was taken out the box. Ordered the 17inch and did a side-by-side comparison.... was obvious the 17inch was the right size: not too big to store in garage with all the advantages of lightweight and power. The 14 inch went back. You need to have a very very small lawn to go with the 14inch. After using the 17inch a few times I know I would have been unhappy with the 14inch. Too small. I've mowed 3 times as of 4/2/2021. First two were on thinner early spring grass on Eco mode and it worked very well (brought it down to 1 bar on 1/4 acre). 3rd mowing today on only 1/8 acre. Grass was thick, dense and a bit moist. Used Boost mode and it performed well (no choking) and only brought it down to 2 bars (out of 3) for 1/8 acre). I expect fully charge batteries on boost will handle 1/4 acre lot. The handles are a bit flimsy but with well tightened there were no issues. Bag is easy to deal with. The full-bag indicator is nice, am still getting used to it. Dual port charge is great. I use it to charge two 2Ah batteries of other Worx tools as well (shear, 12in trimmer, LeafJet). The two 4Ah and two 2Ah give me plenty of power to take care of the yard (two are on the charge while the other 2 are being used in case I run out of juice - which has not happened yet). Very happy with Worx purchases thus far, will update review if issues come up. 5 stars all around. This was not a fake review... ... show more
