Ok Amazon. I often do positive reviews but this might be one of my most important purchases. My husband has a huge chainsaw but I needed something for myself that is lightweight - no way I am using the Farm Boss. We have an old-growth Appalachian forest and it is starting to die off in many areas. Lucky us. I am a small but mighty lady so the weight is important but endurance is even more important because I needed something that would last longer than a wireless but less cumbersome than a gas powered. I have two one-hundred foot extension cords and they are just about long enough for most projects. I have had to cut shrubs, dead pines, yearling "volunteers," saplings, heavy hardwoods, sap galore, and even chop fallen 80 ft pines. No joke, this little guys is amazing and worth every penny. Oh yeah, I even left it out in a storm and still works. Still cuts wood like a champ! My only problem was that it leaked oil, but honestly for this price it didn't matter. Still 5 stars in my book and there is likely a gasket i could buy for it. I have had it jam a few times in an 8 inch tree trunks which is a little over the recommended circumference. It came out fine with hubby's help. More has been done on our property with this electric chainsaw than my husband's fancy Farm Boss chainsaw. I would purchase again in a heartbeat. I will probably wear it down at some point but it just keeps going. I bought it a month ago and it keeps going. If it dies tomorrow it will have been worth it.

I had a couple of trees down in my yard and got tired of looking at them. Bought this saw to try to cut them up. I couldn't believe how good this saw works. I took my time and used the chain oiler and was cutting through limbs like a champ. New chains are really cheap too. Quiet and no gas and fumes to mess with.

Easy to use, works well, but does indeed have the problems described by other reviewers. It was a little confusing assembling it because the instructions say to attach the blade to the motor so the chain cutting links appear to be facing in a certain direction, but the picture of the chain cutting links (in both the instructions and embossed on the equpment itself) is so poor it is hard to tell which direction the chain is suppose to be facing; took a lot of examination to figure out which direction was which. Also, this thing really does leak oil like a sieve: the first time I used it I put oil in it, set it down for a moment, picked it up and started to carry it outside, then noticed the long trail of oil on the floor leading back to the large pool of oil sitting on my workbench. I have to store it in a large pan so the oil doesn't leak out over everything. I expected some leakage from the other reviews, and my old Remington chain saw this replaced also leaked but not as bad as this thing does. However, I would still recommend it, it is inexpensive and works well, and I like the automatic tensioner, which is so much easier to use than my old Remington. Just watch out for the leaking oil. I took a star out of the ratings because of the leaking oil.

I have been wary about using chainsaws and had difficulty with gas powered saws but now I love to use this saw. The charge on the batteries last about as long as I want to use the saw for (a couple of hours+). We have alot of trees that typically fall down in the winter and this is perfect for helping to clean them up and make firewood. It is not too heavy and the chain is very easy to put on and tighten.

I didn't expect too much from an electric chain saw at this price point - I just needed something cheap to trim back some pine trees and cut up some logs on my property. This thing vastly exceeded my expectations - it easily went through branches 8-10 inches in diameter and had very crisp stop-start action. Safety features are good, oil fill port is easy to access, and the saw didn't guzzle oil like I feared it might. In the beginning, chain did jump off a few times, but I learned to keep the tension a little tighter than recommended and it happened far less frequently. Very pleased with this little saw and can recommend it without reservation.

This is a great saw for small jobs around the house. For people who don't know about chain saws they all leak the oil you put into them to lubricate the chain (bar and chain oil) , if you empty it when done it will have to stop leaking. This saw should work for along time, but if it only worked for one job you are still ahead money wise if you had to rent one from somewhere. The registration and warranty process is not straight forward, you will need two separate email addresses to do it. A) First go to the Worx.com website and create an account with an email address just like any other site . Once you login to the your account you will be able to access the register product tab. B) Select the register product tab and fill it out, you will also need a copy of your Amazon invoice which you will have to figure a way to download a image of it to your computer so you can upload it for the registration process. Then after filling everything out on the bottom of the registration page you will need another email that is different from the first one you used to create the worx account which gave you access to to the registration and warranty page. Thats how it is done. Why the warranty website needs a separate email I have no idea, I asked them and they said they would check with the web developers.

I bought this chainsaw for some tree cutting on my 1/3-acre property. The chainsaw itself works fairly well and I did like the ability to tighten the chain with the crank. It worked satisfactory for the task at hand. Unfortunately it seems to leak oil and left a large puddle on the floor in my garage. I needed to resort to placing a plastic bag below it to catch the oil. A prior inexpensive pole chainsaw that I had from Harbor Freight did not do this, so I was a bit disappointed with that aspect.
