Special finished Foss Fiber carpet is placed in the mold and shaped using pressure and heat. The molded carpet, now contoured to the exact shape of the dash, is removed, trimmed and finished. When I first pulled this out of the box and laid it on the dash I thought I'd wasted my money. But after a day in the heat that makes it lay flat and then a long drive, I'm a believer. Aside from fitting my dash perfectly, it also eliminates all glare from the dash to the windshield. Yes, it should include more velcro but I just added some of my own. EDIT: after a few more days I'm even more happy with this purchase. If you love in a sunny location like I do you will be very glad to have this protector. The lack of glare makes the front seats, or at least your face, cooler. ... show more
