    • Easy to Carry Into Strange Worksites

I had the opportunity to test this drill out about 20' in the air. I decided to bring this drill along for three important reasons: It was lightweight, it was cordless, and I could use it as a driver too. Having the belt loop hook was a huge importance for this task as well! It is compact, lightweight, and even has a small LED light. The variable speed trigger really helps when applying this drill to multiple situations. These critical features made it perfect 20' in the air without access to many options since I couldn't carry much with me and had to hold the equipment I was mounting in the air too! It would have been a huge benefit if it had a magnet or some sort of bit storage so it would have made changing bits out in the air a little easier. The keyless chuck really comes to assistance in this situation, though as I could just twist it, lock my bit in, and keep working. The overall design is a little clunky for a entry-level namebrand tool. You would expect the engineering to be fairly concrete to back their namesake, but I found some things odd where I thought it should behave differently. The shaft was barely long enough to comfortably fit my hand - I could feel the drill body and battery slot pressing against both sides of my hand. The battery itself took a little bit of force to either remove or install, but stayed in place properly when installed. The channels on the keyless chuck are spaced out a little awkwardly and it makes gripping it feel strange when changing bits and difficult to get a good solid grip. The charger is nice. I do not fully understand the "Power Share" bit, but it is nice to just slide it onto the battery and plug it into the wall. It's nicer than some of the other drills out there that just plug a standard power plug into the battery and feel poorly connected when charging. Needless to say, I like this drill. The shank appears balanced and holes are straight. However, I am not sure the price is warranted for this particular drill. I find it accommodating, but there may be other options in this price range that offer a bit more. ... show more
