  • A good replacement
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
The propane bottle that came with my Weber grill is way past the expiration date so it was time for a replacement before the gas station guy started refusing to refill it. So far this tank has worked fine. No problems. I get almost a full season of regular grilling out of a tank. I have two so I only need refills once a year at most. Bottle seems t be of very good quality. No problems. No complaints. ... show more

  • Good Deal at $29
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
At the price I paid, about $29 including shipping, this was a good deal. After I bought it, Sam's had it for $26. However with the sales tax, it was just about a $1 less than what I paid. The person that filled the tank for me said it was a good tank. I bought it to be able to use the 20 lb. tank instead of the small canister propane tank on my Coleman grill, since the small ones did not last very long. The only negative thing I can say was that there where some small dents in the tank but I am assuming this occurred during shipping. I guess I could return it, but I didn't feel it was worth the hassle. Also, the tank came "pre-purged" so that it was ready to fill. The grill works even better now with the larger tank. If you use your grill a lot, this is the way to go. You can use it to refill, or use it to exchange for a full tank at the stores that have tank exchanges. To use the 20 lb. tank you will need the hose adapter that sells on Amazon for about $25 (Coleman), or most Lowes or Home Depo. Very easy to do. ... show more

  • A tank for the ages...
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I'm new to the propane crowd, and I'm getting ready for "preparedness". Earthquakes, & such. Propane rather than camp stove gas seemed better. So I ordered 2 of these for my Camp Chef I bought here. These are tight well made tanks. Filling cost $38 for both at a U-Haul place. A nice man there told me to keep these and refill them rather than exchange them for the typical ones at the big-box stores. He said the exchange system will have tanks of dubious quality and life expectancy. As well as "short fills". And he said these I bought were very good tanks. Well, what do I know? He's sure to know something about this that I don't. And a dollar a pound seemes to be a good price. These will be stored for some time for use in any event... ... show more

  • A great gas cylinder
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
What can i say about this? Owning it has changed my life. i wouldnt part with it for any amount of money, and it has been the secret ingredient behind many successful barbecues. On my block, I am known as the guy with the 'great' gas cylinder. I have seen tour buses slowing as they pass my house to comment to autograph hungry tourists. Russian Victorias secret models now give me their telephone numbers....I could go on, but you get the idea. If you dont have a Worthington, 20-lb Propane cylinder, get one. ... show more

  • Best way to go if you use propane
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
The tanks are as advertised and have worked well. Buying new tanks is definitely the most economical way to go if you use propane for multiple sources (grill, patio heater, etc.). The services that provide filled tanks primarily use recertified tanks and you will pay more per gallon/fill up with each exchange. In addition if the certification on one of these tanks expires (new tanks carry a 12 year certification) you could find yourself trading to a tank that is also ready to expire. Buy yourself a new tank and don't worry about it for another 12 years! ... show more

  • Great product when it was $29 just a month ago, but now at $41...too much!
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Well made canister, and well worth the $29 I paid for it 30 days ago. It is heavy and as a result the packaging was not that good, but the canister was not damaged in shipment, other than the plastic wrapping with the name of the product was torn some. I went to buy another one of these canisters yesterday on Amazon, and wow, the price has jumped to $41. You can find these canisters locally for about 20 percent less, so now I would definitely NOT buy this product from Amazon, but would just buy it locally and save 20 to 25 percent. ... show more

  • No exchanges for me
Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I always owned my own propane tank. I hate exchanging. I searched on the internet for the least expensive and Amazon had it. That rental truck company where you haul it has the same exact tank filled with propane for $69!! I bought this tank on Amazon for $29 with free shipping and took it to that same truck rental place where you haul it and filled it with propane for $20. $49 compared to $69 at the you haul it place and anywhere from $49 to $59 for a new exchange tank. Only after you purchase the first exchange tank does the price go down, but you don't own the tank. You have to exchange it. This tank from Amazon you own outright from the beginning, fill it with propane, and still pay less than an exchange. ... show more
