The product description is clear that the device is meant for light weight work. For that it does a good job. What I like is that it easy light and easy to operate. It does fine on thin branches and as mentioned in the description it 'may' cut up branches to a third of an inch in thickness. Thicker than that you might want to consider carrying quality pruning shears. In many cases that combo (hedger and pruning shears) works well. Otherwise, you'll need to get a far more hefty hedger--just compare the weight between this hedger and a more powerful hedger that will cut through a 3/4" branch. For small hedging jobs this works (along with good pruning shears).

We love the Work Pro Grass Shears. They are light and easy to use and can be used in areas where it would be too easy to nick something delicate. The charge lasts about 40 minutes and it re-charges fairly quickly.

I received this product today. I allowed it to fully charge, then set to work on a shrub in the backyard. It was easy to use and I liked it. 20 minutes in, the plastic casing on the hedge trimmer broke! My husband looked at it to see if it could be snapped back together. But the plastic threading around the screw completely snapped and broke. This is a lightweight hedge with thin branches! I emailed support and will update my review if they provide resolution.

I love this little trimmer. I had shoulder surgery so I can't use a string trimmer right now. It's perfect for small jobs. I'm not sure how long the charge lasts because I've only used it once but I love it. It goes through grass and weeds like the trimmer. Would definitely buy again
