I'd had a B+D cordless drill for years, but the battery gave way, and finally it was time to research another. I love that this one is lighter/easier to handle, the battery is a simple thing to charge (not the small monstrosity of the 10-year-old cordless), and the kit's bag is a more convenient size for storing and transporting. The only oversight is that it didn't come with smaller drill bits, only heavy-duty ones and various screwdriver sizes. For a drill this lightweight, you'd think it probably wasn't being ordered for serious construction! But not a problem, as i just kept the bit sizes i needed from my other drill. ... show more

overall i absolutely adore this tool. however the charging process leaves something to be desired; the battery has to be completely unplugged from the drill, the plugged into a nondescript 12v plug. like a food i somehow misplaced my charger... so now idkhow to charge my battery. guess i'll have to pray i can find it lol. also the battery, to my knowledge, has no indicator to show if it's chargring, when it's done charging, or when it needs charged. the drill itself is awesome-- its just the battery and charger that leave something to be desired. ... show more

I'm using this in my RV, mostly to run the scissor jacks up and down when we park. It works great for that. I keep the battery pack plugged in when I'm not using it and just slap the battery in when I need to use the jacks. It's nice to know I'll also have a sturdy little cordless if I need it on the road. I like how the battery fits nicely in the handle without having the big base that a lot of cordless models have... it makes it easy to store in my tool bag in the camper. ... show more
