A GREAT BUY! THIS REVIEW IS WELL DESERVED because it works and works well. Living in the mountains where we have rock hard ground and more rocks than dirt augers can be super hard to handle. Not this one. Features; very will built in this price range. Has easy start feature which makes my 89 year old body very happy! Starts just as the instructions say it will. Easy to prime and start and you can see the fuel flow because the carb and fuel lines are in full view. Comes with a measuring can which give you exact measurements for one full tank of fuel and oil. NOW here is the really good part. NO BIG KICK-BACK when you hit a rock. The auger has a probe on its end. When it hits a big rock it stops digging so there are no surprise kickbacks. It will buck some on smaller rocks but gives you warning and the clutch allows you to do a little probing without pulling your arms out of the sockets. Today I dug 20 shallow holes in rock hard ground for planting. Hit two big rocks. The probe told me they were there before the blade could hit them. . I dug up a lot of smaller rocks in every hole but the auger bit had no dings or dents. The engine and clutch worked well together so the engine output was strong and steady. My son and I spend a lot on Amazon with a very low return rate and solid backup. Our expectations are high. This product at this price meets them well. Chris

We recently used the 43cc Post Hole Digger, Auger Post Hole Digger Easy Start and were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to assemble and start. It has plenty of power for digging fence post and garden holes, and the 8” auger bit cut through our soil much faster than digging by hand. The handles feel sturdy, and the extension rod was helpful for getting extra depth when needed. Overall, it saved a ton of time and effort and is a great option for homeowners, farms, or garden projects.

This thing work fine in soft soil which is where I try to dig one of the holes but when I go out to dig the outter post, it wouldn’t work because there is mixture of pebbles and soil and machine doesn’t have enough strength to cut through, it wouldn’t get stuck making the job very difficult and the weight of this made this project even more difficult

Ive recently had to put up about 200ft of privacy fence, about 34 posts. Thought about renting but I would have ended up spending much more than it would be than to just buy the darn thing. This product has worked as advertised. Starts right up out of the box, they even provide some oil and a fuel/oil mixing container to get the mix measured properly. Feels well built, the auger bits held up wonderfully. Careful when you start snagging on a rock, its got some power and if you're not paying attention, it will take you with it. Ive been completely satisfied with this machine.

Excellent Post Hole Digger. Used 50:1 Mixed Gas with Quality 2-Cycle Oil and the machine stayed cool, held power and did not bog down at all while using it - we dug 20 holes the very first day with it! Starts up with one pull - idles perfect out of the box. Screws are tight, spark plug is tight. Quality control on this machine is 10/10 I would consider buying another tool for them in the future for my business!

at first glance it looks like a solid unit. packaged well and completely assembled. on / off switch looks a little cheesy. I have yet to start it. comes with a gas / oil mix container ..very convenient. Also a small tool kit.
