A GREAT BUY! THIS REVIEW IS WELL DESERVED because it works and works well. Living in the mountains where we have rock hard ground and more rocks than dirt augers can be super hard to handle. Not this one. Features; very will built in this price range. Has easy start feature which makes my 89 year old body very happy! Starts just as the instructions say it will. Easy to prime and start and you can see the fuel flow because the carb and fuel lines are in full view. Comes with a measuring can which give you exact measurements for one full tank of fuel and oil. NOW here is the really good part. NO BIG KICK-BACK when you hit a rock. The auger has a probe on its end. When it hits a big rock it stops digging so there are no surprise kickbacks. It will buck some on smaller rocks but gives you warning and the clutch allows you to do a little probing without pulling your arms out of the sockets. Today I dug 20 shallow holes in rock hard ground for planting. Hit two big rocks. The probe told me they were there before the blade could hit them. . I dug up a lot of smaller rocks in every hole but the auger bit had no dings or dents. The engine and clutch worked well together so the engine output was strong and steady. My son and I spend a lot on Amazon with a very low return rate and solid backup. Our expectations are high. This product at this price meets them well. Chris

That thing is a work horse. It will dig lots of holes excellent purchase!!! easy to use it’s lightweight but yet powerful!It will start up on the first pull. It is easy to use with just one person.
