5.0 out of 5 stars Works well.

Used on roof rails.Left on after unloading boat and they stayed on while driving around.Removed after trip and stored in provided bag.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great solo mount
Style: Canoe Carrier Kit
I use these mounts for my road trips and they work great. I install them on my crossbars that give it enough height not to make contact with my car. One side has a hard rubber coating that works great for getting my kayak positioned just right. Highly recommend for single use kayak mount. Comes is a nice travel bag as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars HAVEN'T USED THIS YET, BUT LOOKS SOLID AND CAME WITH ALL NEEDED PARTS
Style: Canoe Carrier Kit
All components of this set fit nicely in plastic bag with a drawstring top (provided), and all looks to be of more than adequate quality. Simply judging from appearances and before actually using this to mount my canoe, it exceeds my expectations. I was especially appreciative of a clear instruction sheet, showing how to use these to set up a canoe with or without cross-bars on a roof rack. We have one car with and one without crossbars, and it's nice to know that I can use this set on either one. I also liked that all components fit nicely in a snug bag for ease of storage and transport.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs improvement
Style: Canoe Carrier Kit
Because of the void from the other side (the luggage rack option) they aren't as stable as they should be. If they included the cutout foam from those voids it would be much more stable, and durable. The straps are ok, I don't trust the ropes strength though. Ok value, could be better with slight improvements.

4.0 out of 5 stars Plenty of supplies
Style: Canoe Carrier Kit
4 foam blocks, 2 ropes and 2 straps is plenty to get a canoe on top of my minivan for local travel. I used a couple more straps I owned for a 2 hour trip just to be safe. And I did purchase some loops for under the hood and trunk (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TWKXNT2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) because it's mostly plastic underneath with nothing to latch onto AND ALSO some of these nifty little clips (https://smile.amazon.com/cualquier-equipaje-superior-impermeable-patentes/dp/B07F72VM6J/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=rooftop+cargo+hooks&qid=1597164742&sr=8-3) for door frames so you don't have to run the straps through the vehicle. Only gave it 4 stars because I can tell the foam won't last insanely long but for sure a couple of summers use so it's good for the price!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly as advertised
Style: Canoe Carrier Kit
The foam blocks work great (I use my own ratchets, which are secure enough that I did find I needed the included rope tie-downs, but I am glad they are included).
