- This steady rest is compatible with 12 inch, 14 inch and 16 inch Swing lathe. For different sizes lathe, use different numbers of blocks.
- The wood lathe steady rest adopts high-quality steel plate, and three rubber-coated rollers enhance mobility and stability. The double-bearing design ensures smooth rotation of the rollers, protecting the workpiece from leaving marks.
- The guide lock screw is pre-adjusted, and the thress arms can be easily adjusted with a simple operation of a handle for convenient clamping and tightening of workpieces. You may have to adapt the attachment but once in place it is a wonderful tool and works on a wide range of sizes, it is a 10 out of 10.

Nice steady rest - works as it should on both my, Delta Home craft 11" and my 12" Delta Rockwell. the clamps snug down securely and all adjustments work well. The loop of the steady rest is fabricated from 3/16" steel - I think it under built. 1/4" would have been better. I've had unnecessary movement with some setups that I believe could have been avoided had the steady rest been fabricated from sturdier stock. Over all I like it, but I find the fabrication lacking. I will remedy by backing it with 1/2" ply, or 1/4 aluminum and and running a flush trim router bit around it. 4 Stars

Make sure you know it only does 12 in lathes. Built 11/4 shim had buy 51/2 bolt 10 mm 1.5 thread for my 16 in lathe still only does 61/4 around stock

This woodturning steady rest (MC-FS7) is able to fit 12", 14", and 16" sized lathes using blocks to build up the height to fit the size required. The rest is easy to put together and functions well. It holds the turnings in place without wobble. The design choice though of having it work with multiple sizes using blocks does mean, if one has a 16" lathe like I do, that one is trading some size capacity for the versatility. However, considering how economical this is compared to the larger dedicated sized ones, this is a good choice.
