I use the swings under a covered area. The seat is durable and the rope is soft on your hands. It is also long enough ig you hand from 9' ceiling. The only note is that sometimes I need to retighten the rope to raise the swing back to the right height. I think it is a reasonable trade off considering how soft the rope is. I am probably going to buy more of these. I think they are a cute and unexpected gift for children. :)

After a couple of months ours failed where the plastic joins the rope just above each side of the seat. Very poor design and a safety risk to those using it. It failed while my daughter was swinging on it. Lucky she wasn't seriously hurt. I wouldn't recommend this swing unless you plan on replacing the rope with something that won't break. The wood sear is nice though. I wish they sold just the seat as a separate item.

This is a great swing and kids love the seat and the soft ropes! You do need to have the right type of branch on the right type of tree so I would research that before purchasing. The first branch I picked wasn’t horizontal enough and it didn’t swing nicely so we found a higher branch that was perfect. I googled tree swing and made sure it was a hard wood tree, the right diameter branch and proximity to the trunk. The ropes are easy to adjust but I extended them all the way and now the kids need a step stool to get on it but they love it! It swings perfectly with a nice level branch. It didn’t come with instructions but I just pulled up the video on Amazon and was good to go. It came with extra pieces for installation in concrete. It was very easy to put up and move (with a ladder) and I wouldn’t need the video again after doing it once.

It’s just as described, attractive, easy to mount, a good size. However make sure you have very level thick branch if you want to hang it from a tree. Also, bizarrely, it’s hard to “swing”. Even with much pumping and leaning it’s very hard to keep it going especially compared to a playground swing. Both adults and 11 yr olds couldn’t do it without a major workout.

Would have liked the rope to be a bit thicker, its kind of stretchy. The seat is not really weatherproof. Clear coating looks a bit worn after a few months. The seat will tip forward or back so we ended up stabilizing it with zip ties. It is otherwise a nice swing. It looks really cute hanging from our tree.
