This is worth the money. I have hard water at my house well water of course so we have a lot of calcium and other minerals in the water that caused cast-iron to rust rapidly. I bought this little steam pot for my fireplace. Insert the glass lined cast-iron is great wipes out with ease I do recommend seasoning the cast-iron on the outside and the lid makes it look shiny and pretty sitting on top of the stove this product. I recommend it keeps my house, nice and moist and warm. And believe it or not the decorative lid does not get hot. You can remove it with your fingers for ease of filling 2 1/2 quarts is absolutely perfect. I keep my coffee filler jug on hand so I don’t have to move the pot. I recommend this product highly

We really like the bear fire burning stove humidifier. Seems very durable and has a great design. Fits well on our large stove. There is a smell at first, but it goes away. The design in the top makes it easy to refill when it gets low.

It looks nice and is well built. The inside is powder coated and outside is cast iron that matches my stove well. It boils water when my stove top is about 550-600F, but active boiling is not needed to steam it down pretty quickly. Over all very solid and does increase humidity a bit.
