This product is a good size and of heavy duty construction. Comes with hardware to bolt it down. We fastened it to a large 2’ round, which made it a perfect height for chopping. Edge is sharp enough to cut using the blunt edge of a small hatchet, but a light mallet works better. So much safer than the conventional way of chopping kindling!

This splitter is awesome! Heavy duty construction, works great for small to medium logs. Simplifies splitting of logs and saves your back by keeping the spilt pieces from shooting off in all direction's. Turn over the kindling job to the kids, no axe required!

I anchored it to some 2x2 steel tubing and it works great!! I use an eight pound sledge for the big ones and a 2# shop hammer for the smaller ones. The only issue I’ve found is the half moon support at the top. The Allen screws vibrate loose. But, I’m going to fix that with my welder. That should hold it.
