Customer Service Great and Rapid

Customer Service Great and fast. Because of other issues, I haven’t been able use this once I assembled it about a year ago. There was a part I failed to put grease on to prevent rusting. Well, one month turned into several and more. I went to finally use this and found this part rusted. I attempted to remove the rust but wasn’t able to enough. I reached out to customer service expecting to buy the part. I even identified the part from their diagram. To my surprise they assured me they would send me the part at their expense. They also answered a question I had about an enclosure for the sawmill. The saw was a very reasonable price and I was thinking customer service may be what would suffer. No, customer service was top notch. Assembly: I would say a couple things could be better illustrated in their manual. Overall though, I was pleased with the assembly process. For those who know, think Erector Set! I knew all that play time would pay off! If you want to mill, perhaps start smaller then I did with the 36” model. For me I say “ Go big or go home” :)

Mechmaxx is awesome.

We did extensive research before we bought a sawmill. Mechmaxx had the best reviews and so many YouTube training videos. The price was incredible with free shipping. It’s very sturdy and works as it should. We began milling as soon as it was assembled and had no issues. Easy to use. It was tricky to put together as the manual isn’t the best. But YouTube helped get it done. Peaks Peak was probably the best. We are milling to build a home and so far so good.

Very happy with the sawmill. Good after sales support.

After placing my order Mechmaxx shipped my sawmill within 2 days. The sawmill came packaged in a sturdy crate. There were some minor scratches on a couple parts but nothing unacceptable. I had a issue with the assembly instructions and reached out to Mechmaxx and they responded promptly the same day. The company did its best to help me with the instructions. Ultimately I'm very happy with customer service and their after sale support. The sawmill to my surprise is very well built. The metal used is thick and heavy duty. If a part is not painted it is zinc coated and so I expect a long life from this sawmill. The details in the instructions on how to setup and adjust the sawmill are very good and easy to understand. The sawmill cuts and operates wonderfully. Easy starting and powerful engine. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase and experience dealing with Mechmaxx. I would recommend them and I am interested in purchasing other machines they sell.

Difficult assembly

Blade tensioning issue
Size: 36"(20')
The wheel that’s supposed to relieve tension on the blade won’t release the blade, I have to pry it off to do a blade change and installing a new one is a challenge when the adjustment wheel won’t release pressure. Also, when making a cut, the blade fluctuates so much that there are as much as 1” fluctuation in my cuts throughout the slab. If the blade comes to a knot, the blade will raise or lower as much as an inch, even though it’s torqued to the required tension. This is not my first Mechmaxx sawmill, I had a 26” that was great. This 36” can’t cut straight and there’s a significant problem with the blade tension system.

Cuts Logs

Shipping was ok but no tracking. Arrived and setup fine. Engine wouldn't rev up. Disconnected the safety shut offs and it works great. Don't know for sure which of the 3 was bad but oh well, it works without them.
