Description
The MIP-1800 offers a compact, durable solution for tensioning steel banding in demanding installation environments. Whether you're bundling HVAC ductwork, insulation panels, or other equipment in restricted spaces, this pistol-grip style tensioner ensures consistent tension and secure hold. Built with heavy cast components and treated for corrosion resistance, it stands up to job-site rigors while remaining lightweight enough for overhead use. Compatible with steel strap widths from 3/8″ to 3/4″ and thicknesses up to approximately .020″, the MIP-1800 is optimized for regular-duty applications. Use it with push-on seals and standard steel strapping to complete your banding system. Ideal for industrial packaging, HVAC contractors, insulation installers, and anyone needing precision in irregular bundle tensioning. This tool incorporates many heat treated parts for added durability and uses a double set screw on the shaft to reduce the possibility of failure. Manufactured with a heavier cast handle and a stronger spring on the holding dog. All parts are manufactured to resist rust and corrosion.
