Features

  • Detect Hidden Moisture Issues: Quickly discover hidden water leaks and moisture problems like rising damp, penetrating damp, and condensation
  • Four Measurements: Easily set the wood species from hardwood to softwood you need to measure. Offers a Relative Moisture Content (comparative) measurement
  • For best results of wood moisture content, Push the Pins deep into the material, Make sure Pins are in contact with the material( wall, wood or hardwood)
  • Pins sense and measure along their full length, so that Pins penetrating a dry material through a wet outer surface can read moisture content
  • No More Smoky, Slow burning Fires: Quickly, easily and affordably find out if pieces of firewood are ready to burn at the woodpile before carry it in
  • Instant and Precise Readings: It reads to a depth of approximately 12 mm into the slab. Plus, the current reading can be captured via the hold function
  • Detects moisture from leaks and flooding, and measures moisture content in basements, kitchens, bathrooms, and more
  • Provides deeper, more precise readings and is better for specific, localized moisture content checks

  • Works for firewood
Color: Black
Seems to work fine. Quick and easy to use. Nice confirmation of what experience was telling me.

  • Moisture detection
I bought this for my husband cause he was obsessed with how dry the wood is when we get firewood. He said it works good.

  • Easy to use and seems to work well.
Dropped one star because the wood selection features types of wood that don't reflect all the local types I frequently encounter. Not likely to find a rubber tree around. Having said that I just scroll through the settings and take the highest reading for unlisted wood. It does have oak, maple and walnut cherry and ash. Good price and seems to work well ... show more

THIS IS A MUST HAVE FOR HOME OWNERS! When i found whwre the point of entry where water was coming in from my finished basement it scored 97.4 and turned red unfortunately i forgot to take that picture but as u can see it did work..ive called so many companies and no one could find anything, if ur a company claiming to be a specialist in basements u should have this tool, if not dont claim to be a professional if u cant find the problem lol. This tool is a hige help and now helping me fix my issue once and for all im so happy i found this online. ... show more

  • Wonderful Tool
I use this almost daily during winter to ensure that I am grabbing the dry, cured, seasoned firewood from the pile. If meter reads anything above 15% moisture - I leave it stacked and choose another piece. Hardwood with a moisture reading near 17-20% will be difficult to burn and impossible to light. You can literally hear it hissing inside the woodstove; creating build up of gunk inside the flue. ... show more

  • Unreliable. Won't read consistently
Color: Black
When I test it against my skin, I get a good reading. When I try it on oak hardwood flooring before installation, I get around 6% sometimes, and 0% sometimes. Probably about 70% of the time it shows 0% and the rest of the time it reads the moisture properly. Each time it'd read 0%, I'd test it on my skin again and it'd read right. I'd go back on the wood and it'd read about 6%. The next piece of wood would read 0% again. Very frustrating. I don't have any use for a tool I can't trust so I sent it back and ordered a different one. ... show more
