Stud buddy magnets are better at finding screws and nails on textured walls so these magnets need a little work but they do work. OK. Really great idea and glad I bought it.

    • This Thing is FANTASTIC!!
Received the stud finder this morning and thought I would put it to the test. Incredible. Latches right on to the drywall screws with two powerful magnets. The laser with bubble level is just as good, following the stud line perfectly. This thing hit a big time home run. Love it.

I ended up buying this after seeing on a tool blog. I rarely use my other studfinder. The only thing that could be better is the bubble level. The bubble is very small and you may need to double-check your line with a separate level. Overall great tool for the price.

You have to make sure there are no plastered walls. This magnet won't pick up any screws and didn't work for me at all.
