Ordered 9/6/20; received 9/7/20; reviewed 11/24/20 after 60 days of actual, in-car use. When it was time to purchase video devices to keep my kids entertained in the back seat, I narrowed it down to a well-known name, RCA, and Wonnie. After reading many reviews, Wonnie appeared to be the best and most versatile. I am not disappointed at all with this purchase. If you hate reviews that are posted without a rigorous trial, then this review is for you. I waited 60 actual use days to see if this is worth getting for our other vehicles. Conclusion: absolutely. Here are the pros and cons for those wanting to know more. Pros: Dual Units: Two units that can be operated in sync (playing from one to both) or independently (playing separate videos). Love this so the kids can watch the same movie, different movies, or I can run the video from one unit while the youngest (toddler) is watching and can’t mess with it. Connecting: The screens connect together with a standard AV/RCA cord, nothing proprietary. Easily replaceable if broken. We have so many in our collection from other devices we’ll never have to buy a new one. Audio output: Standard 3.5mm headphone jack runs headphones or to the car where I just run the kid’s rear speakers. The built-in speakers also serve their purpose, though minimally. Picture quality: As can be seen by the accompanying pictures, the screen quality is great for the price. The kids don’t complain compared to our 4K home units and at this price, you won’t find 4K if it even exists. Power: The devices are powered in three ways: 12v cigarette lighter, 120v AC cord (for our electric/hybrid cars or if you don’t have an AC plug or lighter, use an inverter which is cheap), and rechargeable batteries. We have had zero issues with the batteries and have exceeded the 5-hour charge time. It’s so great to just be able to leave the car and the kids can continue watching while walking to the store or doctor’s office, in the building, while waiting, and back to the car. No more running amuck! What a blessing! Control: It’s easy to load videos and the playing quality is spot on without any skipping that we’ve noticed. Just pull the screen forward and slid in the disk. Menus are quite simple and intuitive and can be controlled manually or with remote control. Installation: one of the best features is you can use the traditional strap across the headrest, which bothers my wife, or use the under the headrest attachment. Both are shown in the photos. Under the headrest does not rattle and bounce as we thought it would. Cons: Audio: The built-in speakers are not the greatest but not a single complaint from the kids. Better to use headphones or the in-car audio. No Bluetooth or wireless out to the speaks but at this price, you won’t find that anywhere. No streaming but that’s not what we want to hassle with so if it’s what you want, this model is not for you.

The WONNIE Blu-Ray DVD Player is a an outstanding Blu-Ray/DVD Player that works with all DVDs (NTSC and PAL, all regions) and many Blu-Ray Discs (Region free and Region A). Over the years, I've purchased several DVDs that were PAL format and/or other than DVD Region 0/Region 1. This machine plays all of those disks with quality as well as all of my other NTSC formatted DVDs and Region free/Region A Blu-Ray discs. Video quality is excellent as expected on Blu-Ray and other recently released DVDs. A pleasant surprise is how well the older DVDs look. The WONNIE player does an excellent job of expanding 4:3 video into a screen-filling 16:9 that has decent resolution when viewing on our 75" Smart TV. Video quality on recent Blu-Ray Disks and DVDs seems equal to that displayed on our other Blu-Ray/DVD player. The older DVDs look much better on the WONNIE player than our other name-brand Blu-Ray/DVD player. The ability to play all DVDs regardless of region and NTSC/PAL format practically pays for the WONNIE player. Some movies and music videos, especially older ones, may only be available in PAL format or one of the many DVD regions that are not compatible with Blu-Ray/DVD players sold and used in the United States and Canada. The WONNIE player allows one to purchase these "non-compatible" disks and play them with quality video and audio. Also, some of these disks are available for purchase at a lower price in PAL and/or other than DVD Region 0/Region1 format. The WONNIE player allows you to make these purchases at a reduced cost. The product description was accurate with regards to what is included with the WONNIE player: 6' HDMI cable, RCA cables, Remote Control and batteries for the Remote. The printed instruction booklet is satisfactory. All in all, I'm very happy with the WONNIE Blu-Ray and DVD player: Quality and value. I plan on purchasing additional WONNIE Blu-Ray DVD Players for other members of my family and friends. It fills a unique place and gap in ones media system.

We bought these for our kids to watch in the car or use portable when we travel. They are light weight and easy to install. After researching DVD layers we found these. We bought these because you can play one dvd in both or the 2 can play 2 seperate dvds. We thought this function was important for us. They also have earphone jacks so the kids can use the headphones and not distract the driver or each other when watching seperate videos. This set came with all the hardware. It has 2 seperate remotes that can work interchangeable for both players. The picture quality is not superior but it os definatley good enough for kids and is far better than the picture quality I had as a child on our family tv. These also can play things from a usb or sd card slot. There are a lot of options and that is why we chose them. We havent tried the usb or sd card slot yet so I cannot speak to how easy or hard that is. We hope to soon. A other nice feature of these is that when you travel.you can take them out of the car and in to a hotel or wherever to entertain the kids. These have a rechargeable battery and also an AC charger adapter as well as a cigarette charger adapter too. So if the battery is ran down there is stl a way to watch the dvd players. We will update in the future of there are any issues or problems. So far this meets.our needs and is a very nice versatile pair of dvd players.
