  • Priced right / worked even better
Color: Black
Great little player. Sound is the selling point. External speakers are not needed. I am very pleased. Per instructions, charge fully before use. I did. It played for approximately 4 hours then the battery was spent. I hooked it up to the vehicle's lighter outlet and it kept playing : ) It charged simultaneously and continued playing for an additional 4 hours after I unplugged it. WOW!!!! Would definitely recommend. ... show more

  • Awesome for my First Portable DVD Player
Color: Blue
I'm not into streaming services, at all. I literally had both my Netflix and hulu subscriptions cancelled this year because I had to get a new debit card and I didn't care about renewing my memberships. Not to mention that I barely used either service (especially hulu) because Youtube has become my replacement TV for the most part, but the thing is is that I'm been on Youtube way more than usual, these days and I want to take a break from it. Two good friends of mine got me into DVDs and Blu-rays a year ago and while I mainly use my PS3 to watch them, I wanted to have a device that at least, lets me play my DVDs anywhere in a nice form factor, so I bought this. I've had this thing for a few months to see how it fares and so far, I'm pretty happy with it. Playing DVDs and Music CDs on this little guy all work pretty well, although I haven't tested any discs from other regions nor have I tested all the other features that this thing has to offer yet. But aside from that, the device itself looks and feels like a solid piece of tech (and I love the color, but that's just me. ;) Anyway, the buttons on this device feel great and are easy to understand, the speakers on this thing impressed me with how loud they can get, and while I'm not into screen resolutions whatsoever, the screen on this thing looks pretty good, too. - Final Thoughts Overall, I recommend getting this. To me, there's something special about devices like these and I'm glad that there’s companies out there that actually care enough to still make these, even years later. It's nice to use this in bed and even in my car when I'm on break at work and looking to kill some time without relying on my phone and Youtube to do so. Obviously, this thing is bigger than a smartphone and bringing physical CDs anywhere is never going to be as convenient as everything just being digital on your phone, but for me personally, I don't care. The only major benefit of digital media IS convenience, but that doesn't mean that it's always going to be there when you need it, as I experienced that myself in the past with streaming services. - Edit: 12/30/2024 I still like this thing, but in the few months that I've used it, I have experienced a few problems. There are times where the player doesn't want to play my DVDs whether it be not at all, or random cuts to the video will happen while playing, even though the discs are in pristine condition. When this happens, I have to stop the player, take the disc out, then put it back in and that usually solves the problem, but it's still weird and annoying to deal with when that problem comes up. Granted, I don't use this player 24/7 and I make sure to give this player a break (namely when watching a TV series, I'll turn it off after watching two to three episodes and I'll turn it off after watching one movie), but still. ... show more

  • Works Great!
Color: Blue
The DVD player was delivered 10/11/18. The Amazon box was on my porch with a large puddle of rain water sitting on top. Uh-oh-h, I thought. Thank goodness for the manufacturer's packaging. The layers (box, plastic bag, bubble sleeve) kept the player safe, sound and most importantly, dry. I ordered the blue. It was a tad bit lighter than I expected but still a pretty shade of royal blue. The player was partially charged but I plug it in anyway and watched a complete movie, played a partial music video and played several songs from a CD. They all played without any problems. I wish I could adjust the bass though. The picture was good and by tilting the screen (back & forth) I was able to adjust the appearance of the picture on the screen, just like you do with a laptop. I read several negative reviews about the volume level being too low. I didn't find a problem with the volume. With my earbuds, I had to turn the volume all the way down to the 1st bar. Without the earbugs, the volume had to be higher of course (above the 1/2 way point) but it was still fine to me. Granted I was in the house and only the TV was in the background. I did stop the movie twice. The first time (after about 3 minutes) it started back where it stopped but, the 2nd time (after about 11 minutes) the unit seemed to shut down. I used the on/off button to get it going again and of course the movie re-started from the beginning. No worries though, the frame locator option made finding where I stopped quick. I haven't tried all the features, just the ones that matter most to me (cd & dvd player, volume and related controls). I can't speak on the battery life since once I saw that it did what I needed I repackaged the unit and put it away. I bought it for my traveling (plane trips and cruises). I started to order a carry case for the player but found that it fits in my laptop case with my 8" keyboard tablet beside it. My laptop case has an outside zippered pocket that holds all the cords, earbuds, battery pack (unrelated) and the like. I had this DVD player in my "Saved" list for a while, not completely convince it would be any good. But, I say "If you want it, go for it". I really like this little DVD/CD player and hope I get years of use out of it. I'm glad I bought it. ... show more

  • Love this for the price and works very well
Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. I just got it and played a movie on it and so far I am in love with this. It has the connection to see it on a tv and you can also turn off the screen to see it only on a tv. Haven't tried the sound with the tv yet. The screen can move to both sides. I personally love how clear it looks and for a small device the audio sounds pretty good. I did show in my video review that it still plays even if I'm a bit rough with it. Tho I don't recommend turning it upside while on as it might damage some fragile stuff but other than that it's looks and works as intended. Will update if anything happens ... show more

  • Good portable DVD player
Color: Purple
Volume is good on this. Picture looks good and functions properly. I need 2 but my girls can share. It fits nicely on the center console so that both kids can see it from the back. It is easy enough to operate that the 7 year old controls it! Time will tell if it holds up to use.
