We used this on a weeklong backcountry canoeing trip and it is fantastic! We had two days of hard rain and it was big enough for a group of five to cook and hang out under. Nothing could even touch this price, even for a blue polyester tarp.

The tarp itself is pretty nice. I had it over my camp cot one weekend and then over my hammock on another outing. Both times it worked just fine. It was big enough to go over both of my camping shelters. Folding it up it the field can be a pain since it's so big but overall a good tarp. I folded it up better when I returned home and I had no problem getting it back into the stuff sack. The tent stakes were alright. They held without a problem. The cordage was pretty middle of the road in my opinion but they did work and held both nights I used it. I'll switch over to the paracord sooner or later. Overall .. Liked the shiny undercoat but could use some additional timeouts so it can be setup more than one way. Update on review: Took it out and used it under some raining conditions and it leaked a little. Should have checked the seams before taking it out. After second trip out the seams around the tarp don't stretch like the tarp does, and causes sagging which creates pockets for the rain. I'm adding to my review: Was out 10 days and the winds were bad 35 mph constantly with 55 mph gusts and this held up great, no tears or rips grommets are still in good condition. Had it in tent and canopy modes and it held up great. ... show more

I use this as a rain fly over the main bunk end of my popup camper. Now we're able to keep the windows open even in the rain. I used some self stick velcro to attach to the inside roof lip above the slide out bunk with limited success. The self stick velcro doesnt like the waterproof coating on the fly. BUT... it worked well enough to keep us dry in 4 days of rain on a 5 day camping trip. ... show more

Note that the trimming on the edges of the tarp not pretty rough and you should not assume they will be perfectly straight. Nicely provided rigging but it will in no circumstances ever go back into the carry bag. Don't bother, just pitch the provided bag and source a larger bag, your sanity will thank you....
