First one came without the hood Second one the snap for the hood was broken Third came perfect It worked perfectly for my my London and Paris trip but I cannot attest to how it does in the rain. I love the comfort of this trench coat, as it has some weight to it, the lack of wrinkles after taking it all over, and the hood and water resistance as it has rained almost daily at least briefly, even when rain was not in the forecast. A great find and very useful. BTW, I usually wear a size small but Amazon recommended the size M and it's a good fit.
