  • DX Format
I just received this today, Using it on a D3100, I have to set the Aperture to 22 and lock it, it does not have autofocus for my D3100. and need to manually set it, no big deal for me. I say try it. I wish I could find a lens like this to be able to manually set my Aperture on a DX, maybe I would need to go for FX Full Frame. ... show more

  • Compatible with Nikon N75
I am extremely pleased with this lense. I've been shopping for a Nikon lense for my Nikon N75/F75 for weeks now. I bought one from KEH but it wasn't compatible with the autofocus on my camera because it didn't have the metal contact prongs. So I bought this one on a prayer that it had the same metal contacts as the lense the camera came with and so it should be compatible. YES. Yes it is. This lense is absolutely compatible with the N75 as when in manual mode it will read your aperture (as long as the aperature ring on the lense is stopped down to 22!) and allows your exposure meter to get a reading. I'm not shooting in auto but the camera is reading the lense so any mode should make the lense function properly. ... show more

  • The leans was great and the quality of the images were stunning
I wanted a prime lens and this was a cheap option. The leans was great and the quality of the images were stunning. The only problem I had was that 50mm was too long. I primarily wanted to get a picture of a milky way and I was unable to get it. But if you are looking for a 50mm prime lens then this is the one for you. ... show more

  • Amazing lens, but just one teeny flaw.
This is an amazing lens. I really love this. But it’s just that the focus ring isn’t smooth. It is too scratchy? But other than that, dope lens.

Simple, classic, lightweight. Compared to a zoom lens, this lens needed less ISO adjustment to get the same shot, which reduced the noise in a difficult lighting test. AND, it's cute as a button! (The Nikon rubber sunshade for this is an ideal accessory.)

  • Lens did not work on my camera at all!!!!!
I purchased this item with the knowledge that it would be compatible with my Nikon D7100. First of all, not only was the lens really hard to put into my camera but also was not getting recognized by the body. Second of, after I managed to put the lens on the body the lens would not take a single picture. I kept getting an error message on the body. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEM!!!! ... show more
