This throw material is exceptionally soft on both sides, offering a luxurious feel and appearance. It is lightweight, and yet provides just the amount of warmth I was hoping for in a throw. The light beige with brown accents on one side and solid dark brown color on the opposite side is true to the colored image in the Amazon advertisement. I did notice that it had a slightly funny odor after releasing it from the extremely tight plastic wrapping. I Wash Everything New! After washing it on Delicate Cycle in my washing machine and drying on the Extra Low drying cycle with fabric softener sheets, the funny odor is completely gone. It did not shed any fuzz in my washing machine, and barely left any noticeable fuzz material in my dryer's clean-out filter. I believe this throw is made from a high-quality faux fur material. I bought this blanket quite a while ago and I love it! It is soft and warm, but not too warm. I live in Florida and we use our AC quite a bit, sometimes it gets a little chilly so having this blanket is really nice, especially on the off chance that we have a chilly winter. It's not too heavy nor is it too light. It's the kind of blanket you love snuggling in. I have washed this blanket a few times since purchasing it and it has not faded, shedded, ripped, or developed any holes. Now when I wash it, I use the gentle cycle and I use low heat when drying it. This may extend it's life when washing it. So it is washable. It isn't the thickest blanket,, but you'd never really guess that when you're wrapped up in it or laying underneath it.. This size is perfect for me. I have a queen size foam mattress and as you can see it nearly fits that size bed, so it is a big blanket. The versatility of this blanket is amazing, I can use it on my bed, a couch, a chair or even the floor. I can use it in the summer, fall, spring or winter months. And my dogs absolutely LOVE it. They like to snuggle under it, lay on top of it to sleep or just rub their little bodies all over it. This blanket is truly worth the price paid for it. Thank you! ... show more

I ordered two of these in gray to throw over the back of our leather sectional sofa to help prevent cat claw damage, and they are doing the trick. They're beautiful and look way more expensive than they are. They look good on either side - one side is light/medium gray mix and the other side is a slightly darker solid medium gray. Both sides are textured. The throws are super warm and they wash and dry in the machine beautifully. They do tend to slip around a bit on the leather upholstery, as one would expect, but this is not a deal breaker. They are well made and I have not noticed any shedding at all. ... show more

This is now my favorite blanket. I bought the XL throw and it fits two people to cozy up together with. The other side of the blanket is dark gray, but it's just as soft. I highly recommend this throw blanket. I would go for the xl size. It washed well in cold water. I put it on delicates,and I put it on delicates in the dryer too. It Came out just fine and just as soft. It's very well made. You will love this XLthrow. I'm so glad I bought this because I absolutely love it! I also love how it feels on my skin. I get dry skin in cold weather and some material bothers me to touch, this throw doesn't bother my skin at all. I really love this blanket and how super soft it is. ... show more
