I spent a month checking out single serve coffee makers...it was impossible to find what I was looking for. I was really surprised, and only the Casara coffee maker checked every box. I wanted one that makes coffee very hot, a small footprint, great tasting coffee and very important, a timer! Nothing like waking up to the smell of fresh coffee! I had never heard of this brand and was a bit skeptical. However, although I have only had it two days, it has surpassed my expectations. The unit is very simple to use, efficient, and makes very great coffee. I usually make my coffee in a funnel pouring water slowly over it...that technique makes excellent coffee? However, I wanted a cup to be waiting for me when I woke up...this was the perfect unit. Also, the cup that comes with it works extremely well. It stays cool on the outside and the coffee is hot when I drink it. The only downside is if you turn this cup upside down it leaks a little from the cover. Since I never hold my cup upside down when I am drinking, this small issue has not affected me, but you should be aware of it. As I have only had the coffee maker 2 days, I will update my review if anything relevant happens. Try it, I don’t think you will be disappointed. Oh, did I mention it is very easy to clean?!

First off, for the price paid (~ $28 + tax), this is an excellent value in single-serve coffee makers. I'm retired, so I don't use the programmable feature, but I can see how that would be very handy for early risers that want their coffee as soon as they awake. I also don't use the travel mug (same reason), but it would be a great feature for grab-and-go morning commuters. The unit comes with a reusable mesh filter that does a good job in bringing the flavor out, but it allows too much sediment/sludge to accumulate at the bottom of the coffee mug. Something which I cannot tolerate--I'm a clean coffee person. The manufacturer's instructions note that you cannot use a disposable paper coffee filter. I experimented with various types and found that if you carefully fold a Melitta Junior basket filter (4-6 cup size) into the plastic filter folder, it works quite well without collapsing during the brewing process. My only negative regarding this unit is that the plastic used in the construction seems a bit flimsy and scratches quite easily. However, this doesn't seem to negatively affect the finished cup of coffee, so I gave it an overall 4.0 rating. The temperature of the coffee produced is also top notch--much warmer than other small coffee makers I've tried. You can also use this coffee maker to make iced coffee if you're careful. Just use less water (8-10 oz) and a bit more coffee grounds to allow for the ice cubes to melt during the brewing process. Neat!

i received this coffee maker yesterday evening. it was well packed and arrived in excellent condition. i have limited use of my dominant hand, so i thought this looked like the perfect solution. indeed, it is! i unpacked it, cleaned it, and ran a couple of cups of cold water through. it is easy to set up. i love the programming feature - it was easy to set, too. i set up the coffee maker with the recommended amount of fresh ground coffee. i awoke this morning to an excellent cup of hot coffee ready for me. the whole coffee maker is light and the ease of use for me is a winner. having a hot cup of good coffee when i wake up is so nice. thanks to amazon for very fast service, too.

This little Wirsh coffee pot works quite well. I was skeptical at first as I’ve had to return one, however, it works fast and the coffee is hot, which is important to me. The insert little cup is very easy to clean and it’s all ready to go for the next time. I’m pleased with the size as it doesn’t take up much counter space.

I like not having to buy coffee pods! Uses ground coffees.. makes 1 cup at a time- works for me! Simple, easy + takes up minimal space. Coffee tasks good. It's not deluxe but it's fine +brews fast.

This coffeemaker offers everything I was looking for: single cup whether it’s a travel mug, tall coffee mug or regular 3-4” coffee cup. It’s easy to pour the water into the receptacle and place the right amount of coffee into the filter, which cleans up easily. I sometimes program the coffee maker for when I want the coffee ready when I wake up, otherwise I turn it on in the morning and it turns off when the coffee is ready. It does make quite a bit of noise as it finishes filling the cup but I don’t notice it anymore. This is a great little machine!
