This thing makes coffee, as is it's primary function. I has a button for a slower brew that makes stronger coffee. I LIKE this function. What stymies me is that I must press this button each time I make a cup of coffee. I see no sane reason why selecting the stronger brew option does not stay on until I turn it off. We are a family of 7 and use this all day, everyday. I personally drink 2 to 3 cups of coffee and one or two additional hot drinks a day. Everyone in the family uses the keurig. Unless everyone is having tea or hot cocoa at once the Keurig is out go to device for heating water or making coffee. We have had this one for almost 4 years. The tank has been dropped multiple times and will soon need to be replaced. The tank and it's lid are my least favorite part of this machine. It's awkward to hold and the lid is challenging to get back on the machine without dropping it. We have started using a pitcher to fill the tank as we have dropped the tank a few times and the bottom is now damaged, but still functions fine. I really like that I can make my coffee one handed (like if I am holding a kid, I can still make my coffee). ... show more

Good communication about delivery of the Keurig - it even came earlier than expected. I like that it produces a hotter cup of coffee than my old Keurig (which lasted 12 years because I took good care of it). I also like the varied cup size and of course the color - I live in the south so I have aqua in the kitchen and that is the color I got to complete the color accents. ... show more

l UPDATE 01 April 2018: I am grading up the review to five stars for the Amazon sold version of this model as it has none of the issues mentioned in the review below for the "Opps Store" sold version. The "Opps Store" sold version remains *one star* for the reasons listed in the prior review to follow: ***************************This one was purchased through the "Opps Store".No other choice was available at this price point at the time (Now Amazon sells its own for cheaper) After 9 days it failed. The first sign of failure was a drip of hot, clear water while heating. The water was coming from up inside the tank, above and in back of the cup holder. This began after three days of normal use. Two days ago, day 7, the drip continued and I could live with that, but when the unit had heated and all the blue indicator (cup size, etc strong) lights were blinking, I put the handle down to brew and punched my choice. Nothing. My cup size choice was lit in blue, but nothing. I lifted the handle and tried it again. Nothing. I turned the unit off and back on to reset it and repeated the process and it worked. This morning it happened again. Only this time I got a grinding noise for a second. I tried the method before that worked and nothing. It heats the water, drips, but will not brew. I emptied the tank, checked for obstructions in the brewer, it was still sparkling clean with no obstructions. So on day 9, I am returning it. The reason I bought this simple model was due to the fact I had purchased the mainline version K500 series models at a big box retail store and had to return it four times for failed pumps. The return agent actually told me "We get more of these back than we sell". The K575 model elsewhere in the house is starting to sound poorly. At work, I have my very first generation Keurig (pre-proprietary) machine bought years ago still working fine. I bought this one in the hopes its simpler design would mean more reliability, but apparently not. I am returning this in favor of the Amazon sold version. Should it fail, then I am done with Keurig. Five (and soon to be six) failed machines for water pump issues in a soft water area? That is a major design flaw. I use it normally. Few cups per day. It might be time to return to basket brew machines. Keurig, you need to fix this. I am updating this review to reflect that the version I received that was sold by Amazon has worked without the flaws of this one. ... show more
