This Rotary Pen is a strong powerful motor with the motor part of 7.11v-9v which is great for lining and shading tattoos and color packing and produces long stroke of 4.5mm (about 0.18 in). It has a unique head end knob ball that lets you adjust the cartridges conveniently. It has a smooth concave convex firm grip for the handle for easy work to provide less sliding. More tattoo artists are going for the rotary pens because they provide flexibility and to render precise details because you can move around freely without a cord in your way to render your best work. This might be preferable for most artists that love to take time to render their best work. It allows you to move your pen, your wrist and your fingers and hands and arms freely resulting in all kinds of angles. I would say the downside of a rotary pen is it might not be as quick as a corded one. Although this one can be plugged up to a machine if needed with the provided cable cord. This is a neat power rotary pen that has 13 gears to deliver the best of your work at the pace you want for consistency. The set comes with two powerful batteries of 1600mah capacity which has a support work time up to 10 hours depending on the present current load flow. The batteries come equipped with an LED display to let you know the present battery usage and read the current voltage levels you are using. The material of the pen and battery is solid and sturdy which will provide a long time of use. The mechanism of the whole unit is superb and works effectively and provides a smooth operation. The set comes with 20 pcs of single use sterile classic series cartridges needles. Which provides superb needles of 5 each of 1003rl-used for lining work. Which means there are 3 #10 diameter needles grouped together for round liner that are grouped in a circle. 1205RL- round liner is superb at lining, dot work and detailed work.1207rpm-which consist of 7 needles grouped together at the point of the bar. Used for lining for superb quality and versatility. Allowing the seven needles to form a circular pattern which creates a broader and smoother ink distribution. 1009m1-equipped with a patented capillary action tip guarantees a smoother ink flow for a longer period. This Hawinlk Wireless Rotary Tattoo Pen Machine is a pretty cool beginner's kit that has everything needed to do tattoos. I find it interesting to try different art mediums from time to time, and this kit proved to be a fun but challenging experience. The Rotary pen with the battery makes illustrating awkward. I did have fun practicing on the fake skin that is included with this kit, but the images I produced tell me it will be a long time (if ever) before I illustrate on real skin. The instructions are rather brief, but I was able to fill in the blanks to figure out the stuff not covered. ... show more

This is is definitely not the most top of the line tattoo gun out there but if you are looking for that, you won’t find it at this price point. This kit is the most complete starter kit we have seen, literally including everything you need to start tattooing right out of the box. The practice skin, the gloves, coban to wrap the end, caps, cartridges, extra batteries and the ability to adjust the speed right on the top of the pen - this is truly an all inclusive kit and an excellent way for you to see if tattooing is for you without spending a bunch of money or for the more casual tattoo artist. This pen is not a standout, but the kit in total, and the price, is awesome. This kit is quite complete, and even though I would say that the pen & batteries are not the best out there, it's good enough for beginners, and given everything that's included, it's a totally incredible value. And... not there's a huge discount on it (on top of the already low price) on Amazon. The pen is a bit noisy, and runs with quite a bit of vibration. If you're an advanced tattooist, chances are this would not be your machine of choice. But for the price.... The pen comes with two battery packs, which on their own are a bit medicre. They have a working voltage range of from 5.0v to 12.0v, but they adjust in 0.5v increments. I'm not a fan of that, since they're hard to dial in to the best working voltage. I prefer something that goes in 1/10th volt increments, but this is a bargain kit. The pen also has a reasonable stroke length (3.5mm), which is really what you'd expect in this price range. The kit comes with some very good tattoo cartridges (20), about 10 small ink bottles (practice only!), some ink caps, a single roll of narrow black grip tape, a set of ink caps, a single pair of black latex exam gloves, two sheets of tattoo design thermal transfer paper, a single small sheet of practice skin, and some instructions. All things considered, it would be hard to beat this deal at a similar price, for components of similar quality. With the coupon on Amazon this represents an amazing value, and now there is no excuse to put off grabbing a tattoo starter kit to see if you love it. Impressive value. ... show more

I know this listing states it's for beginners but artist of all experience levels can benefit from this machine. It comes with two batteries which is awesome so that you always have one charging. The touchscreen is nice and responsive. It has multiple speeds and fits all my standard cartridges. Most of these machines must be going to a standard size because my parts from my other machines fit this one from top to bottom. The added goodies that come with this kit is a plus too and a nice surprise. Great value for the money on this one. ... show more
