This is a fun, inexpensive microphone for kids to use to sing along with. The way it works is that you connect it by boothtooth to a device that plays music (smartphone, computer, etc). The microphone itself has a speaker system that plays the music. You then sing into the microphone along with the song and your can hear yourself coming through the speaker with the microphone. One tip - you have to speak/sing into the top of the microphone. That's were the microphone is, not the full bulb that you see. So you don't sing into the side, hold it so you sing into the top. As to the quality of the speaker system, it's pretty good. Keep in mind the price of the product. Of course it's not a $2,000 speaker system. It's great for it's purpose. ... show more

It’s a nice microphone. Great toy or musical mic for those aspiring children that want their voices heard. I like the light show on the mic, but wouldn’t mind if a way to turn it off. The voice that comes on to sync your devices sounded kinda weird - kinda crackly the voice. It didn’t effect the mic though itself. It’s just the voice recording used seemed not that good quality so it’s annoying since you have to hear it all the time with that being said. If anything else stands out I will return to update. This was incredibly simple to charge and set up a connection for. You can lower the volume of the music on bluetooth and raise the input voice or vice versa. It's been so much fun for my oldest child and was an excellent christmas gift.
