I waited a while to review this product to confirm the functionality and ease of use. I have trained successive generations of dogs to boundary collars for years. Training is key to my dogs reliable response to the boundaries I set. Positive points: Plug in charging, series of warnings collar gives, durability of collars, ease and visuals of setting boundaries on transmitter, warning I receive from transmitter when dogs approach the boundary, and possibility of using the transmitter on a camping trip or visit. Negatives: After five months of use neither of two batteries is accepting a charge, testing button does not function. It is not easy to get in touch with the Pethey company. Information manual or information not accessible on line.

I tried many different electronic fence systems and none worked out, so I wasn’t expecting much from this one… with that said, I’m absolutely thrilled with how well it works! The setup was super straightforward, and I love that it doesn’t rely on GPS, so I don’t have to worry about weak signals or dead zones. The system covers a 1-acre area (which is perfect for because I have a 1 acre lot) giving my dog plenty of room to roam safely. The real-time monitoring feature is a huge plus, allowing me to easily track my dog’s movement and make adjustments when needed. The collar fits comfortably on my large-sized dog (it fits 9-26” necks), and the high-precision radar ensures she stays within the designated area without any issues. The system works both indoors and outdoors, which is great for when we move to different spaces around the house or yard. Pros: Easy setup, reliable signal (no GPS interference), large coverage area (1 acre), real-time monitoring, adjustable collar fits medium to large breeds. Cons: The collar may not fit very small dogs, and I wish the battery life lasted a bit longer before needing a recharge. Overall, this system is a game-changer for anyone with a dog that needs some freedom but also requires boundaries. It’s been a great solution for us, providing both safety and peace of mind!
