  • Works as advertised
Effective temperature control with any appliance! My goal was to use this for wax melting- with the thermostat controlling the hot plate so the water bath stays at just the right temp. It works for that purpose. temp probe was accurate when compared to my digital kitchen thermometer. Not sure I'd trust it with a pet reptile cage or anything that sensitive without further testing. ... show more

  • does the job
Very good price for a thermometer probe like this. I have used it to monitor and maintain bread temperature when proofing my sourdough. It is a great way to help proof your dough or to be sure to maintain any food remains at a consistent temperature, even when it's very cold or very warm in your home. It is easy to use and it has been working well over the weeks I have been using. I hope it continues to work well over time. ... show more

  • Not my favorite but it does the job economically
It has a strange way of controlling the temperatures, a winter and a summer mode. It shouldn't matter what season it is, you should be able to set a temp range for heating or cooling and just plug in whatever device is doing the work. The range between the plug and the thermo probe / sender unit is really short. I am using it, yes it works, but I don't think it would be rated to anywhere near 3600 watts. A quick glance at the plug, which is really small, indicates that it is not very heavy duty. Right now it is powering a 600 watt oil heater and that's about all I would trust it with. ... show more

  • Amazing product. Should have got this sooner!
I’ve been using this wireless digital temperature controller for a little while now and it's been working great for my aquarium setup. I mainly got it because I was worried about temperature swings — I’ve had heaters go rogue in the past, and let’s just say it turned into a fish soup situation. Not ideal. This little gadget gives me serious peace of mind. I’ve got it set up to control a heater for my fish tank, and knowing it’ll automatically cut power if things get too hot or too cold is a huge relief. ✅ Super easy to use, right out of the box — no confusing setup ✅ Clear display and intuitive controls ✅ Can handle both heating and cooling — so it’s flexible for all kinds of uses ✅ Programmable temps so I can set it and forget it ✅ Gives me peace of mind knowing my fish won’t freeze or get cooked again ✅ Outlet plug style is convenient — just plug in your heater or cooler ❌ I really wish there was a plug-in version with a battery backup — the unit seems to go through AAA batteries pretty quickly. The wireless part is handy, but you do have to keep an eye on the battery life or it’ll stop working without much warning Overall, I’m happy with it and it’s doing its job well, but if they made a version that could run off wall power and had backup batteries for emergencies? That would be perfect. Until then, I’m just keeping extra AAA batteries on hand. ... show more

  • Works great, confirm temperature
I’ve tested this controller on a range of temperatures between 72f and 79f in a 15 gallon aquarium and 250w Ehiem heater rated for 150 gallons. The heater was set at 82f so the controller was doing all the work. It adjusted the temp with every change I made maintained the temperature consistently. This particular controller was consistently 2f off actual, I tested with a thermometer I know to be true. My Inkbird by comparison is spot on. Because it’s testable and consistent I don’t see this as an issue. And I test all my equipment before unleashing it in my coral aquariums. The probe is stainless steel and not coated as far as I can tell so I don’t know how it might stand up to sale water, fresh of course would be fine. The probe does seem to be standard and 100% interchangeable with my other thermometer! Added a photo as proof of this!! Should that ever have an issue that’s a cheap fix. I suspect that the smart plug is also interchangeable with others I have in the house. Again a plus. One consideration is that it’s battery powered, I will be keeping a spare battery close to mine, at least till I get a feeling for the cycle time. Lastly - love the magnet in the back and stand, great mounting options. And it’s way prettier than other controllers out there with a nice stainless finish. You’d be ok putting this next to your display tank!! ... show more

  • Decent Temperature Control for Chicken Brooding – With Some Battery Quirks
I’ve been using this wireless temperature Plug to manage an infrared lamp in my chicken brooder, and it’s done a solid job maintaining consistent warmth. The setup was straightforward thanks to clear instructions, and the programmable settings make it easy to customize temperature ranges for different cycles. The waterproof sensor’s stainless steel mesh cable is incredibly versatile—I mounted it on a metal rack near the brooder without any issues. Pros: User-Friendly Programming: Setting up heating mode and defining my preferred temperature range took less than 10 minutes. The dual display screens show current and target temps clearly. Flexible Placement: The sensor’s long cable and adhesive backing let me position it exactly where I needed it, independent of the plug’s location. Durability: The probe survived weeks of use in a humid brooding environment without corrosion or damage. Cons: Battery Lifespan: Fresh AAA batteries only lasted about 2 hours before dying (replacing them with rechargeable batteries extended the runtime to only 3.5 hours). I wish the unit included a power indicator for battery status. Short Wireless Range: While functional, the control range is limited—keep the plug and sensor within optimal proximity to avoid connection drops. Verdict: A decent option for small-scale temperature regulation, especially after testing it for a full brooding cycle. The minor battery hiccup is manageable with rechargeables, but I’d recommend testing connectivity and settings thoroughly before relying on it long-term. ... show more
