The product itself is fine but you have to buy an app subscription to have it work. I hate subscriptions they are the bain of budgets so not doing that. I’ll pass the hardware onto to someone else that wants to pay for a subscription.

The media could not be loaded. It works, but you have to purchase storage to view footage. I didn't purchase it; I use it for the doorbell and can talk through the app. The only issue is a 10-second delay when live viewing, so if you're worried about a thief, they get a 10-second head start if you don't pay to save videos and only use live viewing. Also, the camera mic isn't very loud; my apartment is right by the highway, so no one can hear me on the camera talking to them. Overall, it does what you need for free live viewing (with a 10-second lag), and you can see who is at the door when they ring the chime. (Added stickers over the apartment door across the hall for privacy) ... show more

Update review. They reached out to me and I got a new camera. I’m very thankful and hope it lasts a long time. The very first one I bought is still working great so hopefully the second one was just a bad batch. I have been trying to reach out twice by email now and no response at all. Bought this camera and the subscription with it. It worked fine for a little bit and then it just went dead. Can’t charge it or reset it or nothing. I payed for a year subscription and I would love to have a working camera. ... show more

I ordered two of these doorbell camera so I could have one at the front entrance to the house and at the back door. I have not yet installed them but have set up my new account and synced them for setup. I will update after we have had a chance to truly put them to the test for awhile. However here’s what I’ve noticed so far: 1. Account setup- so much easier than others I have created. It took about 10 minutes to create the account, sync two devices to the account and add my husband so he have access to notifications and checking the house while we are not home! 2. They came out of the box at 74%( both were almost fully charged) I am allowing them to fully charge prior to installing them outside of the house, so I will also update about the battery life. But almost all the other reviews I read prior to purchasing state, but had great battery life, and it lasted quite a while in between charges. 3. The indoor chime was surprisingly able to be heard in different rooms of the house so everyone will hear the notification of someone at the door once the button is pushed- which is great for anyone without a phone or on the account. 4. The pictures and videos were very clear and I feel like I was a bit skeptical of this being an issue as these were extremely affordable compared to many others. 5. So far it’s definitely a steal for the price and the overall quality of the item. They seem to be very sturdy dependable doorbell cameras! So far I am extremely happy with these cameras! I have nothing negative to say so far and with how easy it was setting them up and setting up the account-that alone made me happy! Also the subscriptions are affordable as well. Unless I missed other options for payments the lowest price was 29.99 for a year! In my opinion that’s great!! I will update should anything changes!! ... show more

I actually love this doorbell camera for the price. What is frustrating for me is the battery needs charged all the time. I let it charge for 24 hours and then two weeks later it is dead again. I have changed settings to help save some battery life but nothing works. This is what kept this from getting five stars. ... show more

in the past I’ve purchased a ring doorbell, which cost much more than this item, and the yearly subscription that came with my ring doorbell cost more than the one that came with this item. I’m pleasantly surprised with the quality of the video and photos from the doorbell camera as well as how easy it was to assemble it onto my door.
