This fan does a great job of cooling down an area. You can use it with or without water and it still keeps you cool. It's fairly quiet but you get feel the breeze from far away. It does produce mist when operating with water which feels really nice when it's hot, just be mindful about getting things in it's path a little wet. It's fairly large but thanks to it's wheels it's easy to move around and get it into most positions you'll need it in. The water tank is fairly large and won't be too be replaced super often. The optional freezer packs do keep the mist much cooler but need to be refrozen often. I needeed some powerful cooling for my work area and this git the job done for a good price. ... show more

This portable a/c works great in my son’s room at night. His room can get hot & this helps to cool down. We have it on a timer so that after a few hours it can automatically turn off. There is a large tank so it can work a few nights without refilling. The only thing I do is freeze the icepacks daily. It comes with a remote & has a panel that displays. This arrived the day my air conditioner died. I started it without the ice packs because I wanted to cool off. It blows chill air and does a pretty good job. Obviously it’s not like a full house ac but it definitely produces nice cool air and helps out when it’s warm!
