Description
Why won't the film stick to my window? Clean your glass thoroughly first! Use soap and water to remove all dirt, oils, and residue. This static cling film needs perfectly clean glass to adhere properly. Spray both the window and film with soapy water during installation. How do I avoid bubbles during installation? Use plenty of soapy water and a squeegee or credit card to smooth out bubbles from center to edges. Work slowly and keep the surface wet while positioning the film. Small bubbles usually disappear as it dries. Can I reposition the film if I mess up? Yes! Since it's glue-free static cling, you can peel it off and reapply. Just re-wet both surfaces with soapy water and start over. The film won't lose its adhesion properties with careful removal. My window privacy film is peeling at corners. How do I fix this? This usually means insufficient cleaning or not enough water during installation. Remove the film, re-clean the glass with degreasing soap, then reinstall using more soapy water and press edges firmly.

🕶 Cooler Windows 🌥

When I first put the Walanz one‑way privacy film on my windows, it was mostly out of desperation. My house has those 40‑year‑old wood windows that have seen things, and until I can replace them, I’ve been patching and bandaging them with whatever makes life more tolerable. The sun hits certain rooms like it’s trying to set them on fire, so I needed something that could cool things down without turning the place into a cave. The Walanz film surprised me. I remember finishing the first window and stepping back, expecting darkness — but instead the room looked calm, shaded, and still usable. Not bright, but not gloomy either. Just… dim and comfortable. The heat dropped noticeably, and the glass didn’t turn into a radiator the way some films do. Even in Virginia humidity, the room stayed cooler and the window didn’t hold onto too much heat into the evening. Installation was the easy part. Static cling means no adhesive drama, no stretching, no fighting with only a few bubbles that refuse to leave. A spray bottle, a squeegee, and a little patience — that’s it. The film stayed stiff enough to handle pressure without warping, and once it was up, it stayed put. No peeling, no weird waves, no scratches from normal handling. Tip: use two pieces of tape to pull the film from the clear backing. I’ve tried other films since — lighter tints, ceramic adhesive ones, “premium” options — and honestly, I keep coming back to Walanz. It’s not perfect, and it is a little darker than I’d ideally want, but it’s reliable. It cools the room. It doesn’t cook the window. It doesn’t fight me during installation. And for old windows that need all the help they can get, it’s the one that behaves. If I ever redo the rest of the house, I’ll just get a lighter tint from this same brand and call it a day. Cut heat by half!

Fantastic purchase!! Have west facing leaded glass doors that get direct sun in hot! afternoons! This film has made a HUGE difference in heat in the house. Was tedious to get all the bubbles out but well worth the effort. Use plenty of barely soapy water and squeegee provided and works good.

It Works for Bird Watching

This was very easy to put on the window as long as you follow directions. It works for privacy until dark. You can still see inside our house even with the ligh turned very low. Since this was bought to observe the birds during the day, it works for what we wanted. The only other issue is that it's not cut to fit a standard window so there is about a 2" decision to make!

Blocks heat from sun
