I have 30 foot vaulted ceilings (A Frame house). Central Air went out and figured I’d just continue my quest to transition to window units. First time I think the house has ever reached 72 during the summer. lol Very easy to set up and install. Would recommend a window bracket, because this thing is heavy! Easily a two-person job. My house is 40 years old and has 52” windows and I couldn’t find any that match that, so I had to ask AI how to customize one a bit. This arrived securely packaged in its own product box. This window AC is very heavy and quite deep so straight away you do expect this to be pretty heavy duty. This is a very powerful window unit with various features. Included with this unit is the window sliding panels which are simple to install. This comes with a remote control which has a small screw at the back to stop the battery cover from falling off. The remote does require 2xAAA batteries which is included. The instructions are quite comprehensive and simple to follow. When this is running the noise level is pretty low and is surprisingly quiet. There are 4 modes: cool, dry, fan and auto to choose from. There is an eco setting which switches the AC off once the temperature that is set has been reached. There is also a timer and a sleep button. The filter button will light up once the window unit has run for 500 hours which is a reminder to clean the filter. Overall I cannot fault this unit and I do feel this deserves a full 5 star rating. The price for this unit is quite reasonable especially right now where it is available at the reduced price of $439.99!

Much needed for my space. It has no issue cooling down this large space and keeping it cool. That is of course the main reason for air conditioners. The noise level is an added bonus. The power behind it does not contribute to added or overloud sound. It is actually pretty quiet, I would say, for its size. I recommend for anyone looking for a good reliable air conditioner.

The media could not be loaded. Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product This 14,000 BTU window air conditioner really cools very well and feels like a solid, heavy-duty unit. The remote lets you control everything — power, temperature, fan speed, mode, timer, and more. The mode options include AC, Fan, Dehumidifier, and Eco (which turns the fan off when the compressor isn’t running). It’s also relatively quiet unless you turn the fan speed up — it has an extremely powerful fan compared to others I’ve seen, should you choose to use it that way. The only small drawback, if I’m nitpicking, is that the remote doesn’t display any temperature reading. One quick note: while the ad lists the brand as Electatic, the unit that arrived has a label on the side that says Zafro. The unit looks exactly like the one in the product images, and I’ve used Zafro portable ACs before with good results, so that’s not a concern to me—just something to be aware of. All in all, this is a totally solid, heavy-duty 14,000 BTU window AC unit.

Air conditioner is HEAVY! Packaging is very protective! I have a pole backing up the window holding the unit in the opening as my style windows don’t work with the screw mounts with the unit. The unit seems to work great, and seems to be of superb quality. Cools fasts! Gaming room heats up with the computers etc so now it’s the coolest room in the house! Plus it runs very quiet. The remote is very handy and doesn’t feel cheap. Other than the risk of throwing your back out installing it, I can totally recommend it. Always handy to have a window unit on hand. Seems the central air goes out on a Friday when the following Monday is a holiday, so 4 or 5 days until it’s repaired. This is a great unit and the right size and price to have on hand for that purpose as well.

This is on the larger side of window AC units coming in at about 15 inches tall and weighing a good 50+ pounds. It's huge, hard to handle and heavy, but it definitely cools. At 14000BTUs, it's on the upper end of what can be powered by a standard 115 volt wall plug without going to 220 and a special outlet. There's hardly any lag between powering it on and feeling a cool stream of air - I was able to feel an immediate temperature drop within 15-20 seconds and it gets ice cold within a couple minutes directly at the vent. This power does come at the expense of a bit of noise. It's not the most quiet AC I've used, but with the fan speed on low, it's towards the middle of the spectrum where I do have to turn up the TV a little bit, but not loud enough to wake me up. The remote is not the bet designed as the bottom of it is curved instead of flat, so it won't sit level on a table, but it works well. There's also a dehumidifier mode which I tend to use more than the cool setting. The best feature is that it remembers its on/off status during a power loss! So if it was running when you lose power, it remembers and powers back on the moment power is restored. This means I can plug it into one of those wifi controlled powered outlets and remotely turn the AC on before coming home from work, or put it on a on/off schedule!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: My husband installed this into our garage because we have 120 degree summers. It helps significantly cook down the space, it can’t keep it to say 70 in that weather but it does lower it to about 80. It’s now is man cave
