This came packaged well, the biggest pieces being the backboard and the base plus three poles. But almost right away there were issues with the instructions not matching the bags of bolts and that took a good 10 minutes of excess wasted time trying to sort things out and match things to the picture...and at that point everything is suspect. Assembly also starts immediately by having to bend a bar into a Y shape, which seems odd to me. It worked out fine but that kind of stuff seems weird, what if it goes too far? Maybe they design it to prevent that but we don't know that as the consumer. Anyway, we seem to have gotten most assembly issues sorted...just had to overcome having the lowest pole installed backwards initially, so had to undo the supports and turn it around. So far we have only installed the middle pole for height since we have younger kiddos, but are thinking about adding the highest pole on the lowest setting. Added water to the base plus a little weight and things are holding up well. It's a little baffling at how complicated it still is to set these up now, it shouldn't be that difficult. The hoop itself looks decent — maybe a little flimsy, but it should hold up for my 9-year-old… at least until he starts dunking like LeBron. Now let’s talk about the instructions. Or should I say, the complete absence of useful instructions. “Hey Harry, we have the wrong instructions.” “Well, Lloyd, I can tell you what you don’t do — you don’t print a sticker telling the buyer the instructions are wrong.” “Oh yeah? Maybe use that printer to print the right instructions, Harry!” Seriously — they slapped a note on the box saying the instructions were wrong, which I of course didn’t notice until all the parts were scattered across the driveway like confetti. I’ve emailed them, and now I’m just hoping they respond before a gust of wind turns my hardware into a yard sale. Wish me luck! ... show more

This goal was easy to assemble, and was great until we had a storm. It knocked the goal over and bent the rim. I contacted the company for a replacement rim. I received a whole new goal, but the rim is cheaply made.
