I was kind of leery about this at first. Rods akin to the ones I use with the curtains that cover my closet entrances hold this in place. Tug, one time, too many, and down they go. How could I possibly punch this without it just falling down? I was pleasantly surprised. The rods are not easy to fall. In fact, the ends of each rod have tiny raised "nibs" that increase friction so they won't easily slip away from the door frame. I punched away until I got my heart rate up. It was fun. This thing is so cool! I’ve had heavy bags before which you basically have to leave set wherever you have them and are hard to move around. This thing makes practicing kick boxing a whole lot easier. I had trained for a number of years and hadn’t done it in a while but got some boxing gloves and now this and I am back to just light training at least once a day. It makes it convenient to workout and practice many forms of martial arts and boxing. It springs back nicely and you don’t necessarily have to have gloves on in order to punch it. It won’t mess your knuckles up in my opinion. It also held really firm in the doorway whenever I use it. Very cool design and setup with this product! First of all, the quality of materials and setup/usability, as well as functionality for those with spacial challenges in their homes is very much appreciated. When I got this product I set it up in my son's apartment, which has no room for a traditional heavy bag or speed bag. The setup was really easy and while the instructions were appreciated, you really don't need them because it's a very intuitive setup. Once set up, my son and I put it right to use!     • GOOD FOR ITS INTENDED PURPOSE
This kit is really more for a casual boxer. Definitely works for a small apartment. Set-up is fairly easy but it becomes a chore if you are going to do it day in and day out. You can put it on your door but a window that opens is better since you can leave it in place. If you are doing this to learn some punching skills, it is okay to practice your straight shots. Hooks and upper cuts are a little bit more awkward since your punches may clip the side of the door or window. This works perfectly for my 110 lbs daughter. This is really good. My wife boxes at her local gym once a week, but now winter has arrived and the temperature has fallen below zero it's all to easy to skip a day. I decided to set up this boxing bag so she can still get a quick workout on the days she can't face the walk to the gym. The bag is pretty lightweight. At first I was concerned that it might be too delicate to take a real beating, but once it was set up in the door frame of our spare bedroom it felt very sturdy. If you're built like a fridge and you throw all your weight behind your punch I imagine you could knock this thing out of the frame, but for regular sparring it stays in place without a hint of wiggle. The bag is easy to take down when you're not using it, and you can break it all down to a fairy small size for storage. Personally I just loosen the bars and leave everything intact, so when the time comes to set it up again it take about 30 seconds. ... show more

This is very portable, great to pack and take with you, easy to store in a closet or convenient place and put back when wanted to use. It is very easy to assemble, to place in a doorway and the poles adjust very easily to fit in the doorway and stay in place while using. I love the convenience of how easy and small this is compared to the conventional punching bag or stand. This takes so much less space and easily installs on any doorframe and takes less than a few minutes to put on or off. It rebounds pretty well and is able to take some hard punches but it’s more for speed and consistency instead of knockout blows. We dont have a lot of space to set up a true punching bag. It gets too cold in the winter to have one set up outside, but my son wants to get into boxing. This doorway punching bag is a good compromise between space and efficiency. Hes not quite strong enough to knock it off the doorway, but im not sure if someone bigger can. Its easy to set up and disassemble, and it doesn't seem to leave any marks on the frame, though id worry about hitting it too hard.
