I was floored by the quality of this. Not because it’s the best rack on the market or anything, but at the price point I can’t believe how well thought out it is. As someone who builds things for a living and has worked in metal fabrication I was not expecting much. Pleasantly surprised. The gauge of steel is solid. I was expecting beach-chair gauge steel. It’s closer to 1/16”. The bends are nice. The pieces all slide together smoothly and perfectly. The welds… meh, not perfect. The finish seems to be actually powder coating, not just spray paint. The fact that a color-matched sealant was included was just 🤌🏼 👌🏼. The mounting hardware provides 2 options for how you can mount. The u-bolts are coated in rubber. And it comes with a bungie mesh and ratchet straps. I honestly don’t know how they made a pretty darn decent thing for the price. The weak point was the tapping. About 25% of the bolts just didn’t want to thread and I resolved to force them and intentionally cross thread them just to make it work. Time will tell how the sealant holds up and how noisy it is, but in the meantime I’m stoked. Great purchase. ... show more

I bought this mainly because the nicer roof rack platforms would not fit my vehicle. This was a universal fit and I basically wanted the platform to mount lighting and small gear. I mounted this on top of my 2006 Honda Ridgeline, fits good and looks decent enough. Quality is ok, it is a lighter material, so not something you would mount a spare tire on, but it will hold lighter gear no problem. I mounted a front light bar and some rear light pods. Also added a mount for a custom canopy I made. So far it’s holding up, and I can’t complain for the price. ... show more

Assembly was easy, mounting easy. Great price point. Comes with gear straps and net which is a bonus. The problem for me comes when driving at about 50 mph the rack has a harmonic humming as the wind blows over it. This makes for very annoying sound while driving on the hwy. this rack is a flat platform. easy enough to assemble, and i suggest you use lots of black silicone to seal all the joints to prevent water entry and rust. spray all bolts with black enamel after. easy to install. good customer service. packaging for my unit was torn open during shipping (typical for heavy items). the team at wildroad was really good at sending replacement parts and one additional piece i needed ... show more

These will rust right away and look like junk build paint then hit joint with clear coat also lock it down to the rial someone already was defeated trying to steal mine but they stoped when they go to the cable lock side

So I’m using this on the back of my truck on Thule xporter bed racks. It come in sections but it durable and modifiable. Box was crushed in transit by ups and I had to contact the vendor to get parts. They were very helpful and im happy with the results. Amazon Delivery aside the price is great and the quality is on par with other rack lines like ARB or Rhino when looking at the steel tubular platforms. Would have preferred one piece but hey it’s 33% what other brands charge at 169. ... show more
