Description

This edition of Wild Love comes with the deluxe edition mountain spine that lines up with the rest of the seriesShe's been driving him wild for years. The good kind of wild. The bad kind of wild. But mostly, the kind of wild that comes with wanting your best friend's little sister and knowing you can't have her.Forbes may have labeled Ford Grant the World's Hottest Billionaire, but all he cares about is escaping the press and opening a recording studio in gorgeous small town Rose Hill. Something that comes to a screeching halt when he ends up face-to-face with a young girl who claims he's her biological father. Now, he spends his days balancing business with parenting a sullen twelve-year-old, all while trying desperately to keep his hands the hell off his best friend's sister, Rosie Belmont. After living in the city, Rosie came blasting back into town like a storm. Beautiful, messy, and chaotic. And one wide-eyed, desperate plea for a job is all it takes for Ford to hire her. He vows to keep her at arm's length. Tries to stick to scowls and grumpy one-liners. But with her, verbal sparring is a type of foreplay―friction that soon turns to blistering heat.Ford knows damn well he shouldn't cross this line. But shouldn't and can't are two very different things. And the only thing he truly can't do is resist her. Read more

  • Fantastic enemies to lovers!
I loved every word of this story! The history between Ford and Rosie was absolutely perfect. I could have read an entire book about their bickering and pranks growing up. I really loved how deep his feelings went for her, but he didn't think it would ever be possible. Rosie has the kind of fiesty, independent spirit that makes you laugh and wish for some of that in your own personality. Ford was more cerebral and serious, yet he burned for her. My heart soared every time he protected her or let a little bit of feelings slip out. Together, these two were straight fire. Every interaction was perfection. The evolution of their relationship was very entertaining and fun to read. I absolutely loved Cora and her role in this story. All of the characters were amazing and added so much to the story. ... show more

  • Such a sweet story! 4 stars
I have had Elsie Silver pop up in my feed for MONTHS now and I’m so glad I finally took the plunge. This was a sweet wholesome story that full on made me laugh out loud and yet want to cry in the next few pages. I loved this love story. It was Truly Madly Deeply by LJ Shen style as in a love that bridges a lifetime. Ford and Rosie just clicked. Their chemistry felt genuine and completely believable. Watching them come together was fun and I couldn’t stop cheering for them. As always, Zachery Weber & Vanessa Edin 💀it as narrators!! They kicked butt and took names. I’m never disappointed when they bring a story to life. They made the happy times happier, the stëamy times stëamier (BOY were their some stëamy times)!!! Just all around emotion to the story, taking it to that next level. All in all I will definitely be reading more books by this new to me author and continue the journey with the secondary characters in this book as they get their own stories. ... show more

  • A fabulous start to a fun and steamy new series
4.5★ Named World’s Hottest Billionaire by Forbes Magazine, Ford Grant wants the exact opposite of what his new title brings. Escaping the limelight, he heads back to his small town of Rose Hill to bring his dream to fruition, and open a small recording studio. His plans go awry when a young girl shows up claiming to be his daughter, as his long held unrequited crush, who just so happens to be his best friend’s sister, arrives back in town. Rosie Belmont, fresh off a disastrous job situation, pleas with Ford to give her a job - any job. But as office banter leads to foreplay, these two battle their hearts, and each other, in their attempts to prevent crossing the line. “All it took was one look - one heartbeat - and I was eighteen all over again.” As it is with every start to a new series, this book is slow burn in nature and feels more character driven than later books in a series. And that’s for good reason. Having to establish a new locale, community of characters, family ties, etc. means there is more information needed. Starting a new series is often intimidating, but the author makes it easy to follow, while also laying the groundwork needed to create a blueprint the series can follow. That said, I enjoyed the heck out of this book. Rosie and Ford are really the stars of the show here. When I think of a great romance or rom-com, I think banter. And banter there is a plenty! I absolutely loved the use of corporate emails to convey their snarkiest banter, all in proper email structure. Their juxtapositions added such depth to their story as we watched them butt heads initially, only to work it out in their messy, chaotic way that these two did best. Think Paint on Lumber (IYKYK). Of course, I am always a sucker for a cinnamon roll hero, or better yet, a stern brunch daddy which Ford definitely is. I thought the use of the Billionaire trope, sans alpha energy, was very unique and made Ford stand out from your typical romance mmc. As for Rosie, it was hard not to be utterly charmed by her take-the-bull by the horns attitude. I loved the way these two somehow brought out the best in each other, even while bringing out the worst in each other. And the steam? Well, it’s steamy, but in a way that even those who don’t love quite as much steam can still enjoy. Read if you like: •brother’s best friend •billionaire romance •age gap •unrequited love •single parent •workplace romance •email banter •cameos from chestnut springs characters If you are a fan of small town, swoony, steamy romance with a whole lot of heart, this is one you will want to have on your radar…if you don’t already, because who are we kidding - this is an Elsie Silver book after all. ... show more

  • ⭐⭐⭐.5
The best part of this book is Ford. Hands down. No question. And to be honest, he deserves someone better than Rosie. I get that she’s supposed to be the whirlwind of a woman who can stand on her own two feet and doesn’t need a man telling her what to do. But, am I allowed to say that she just got annoying after a while? The reason for the high-ish rating considering my disdain for the main character is the rest of the characters. I ended up loving Cora, and the relationship that she forged with Ford was a major selling point for me. Her situation was utterly crappy, and her sullen demeanor reflected that in conjunction with teenage angst very well. I loved how they bonded over a mutual love of music, and his approach to letting her know that he cared without being creepy or too overzealous. I also liked Ford’s parents. His father is a famous musician, so he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth. However, Cora comes to be because his father wants him to make his own way in the world. I haven’t ever read a book that took this approach, and it was a cool twist of fate. Wes adds some comedy to the plot as Rosie’s older brother, and I am intrigued by his story in book 2. All in all, this is a very easy read with enough spice to keep you from skipping to the end. It just wasn’t my favorite. ... show more
